Flo Nat's

Now he wants to tell you about his secretions, El-Jefe. That's a conversation I hope you never have, and if you do, please don't feel a need to share any details with the board. ;)
Lol...Tom you may be interested as well...Lmao...

So I have to ask those of you closer to these guys...Beard or Hoffman?

Who's the better prospect and why? Seems like either one would be a great pickup, but is there reason to want one over the other? TIA

Hoffman looks like a pretty big kid already. Can he stay at 197 all four years, or is he a kid who could outgrow the weight? It seems like Beard would grow into a 197 lb'er after a year in the room and could potentially stay there for his college career. Beard looks like a future 86kg freestyle kid, where Hoffman would be at that small HWT for folkstlye and 97kg for freestyle.

Hoffman was up at 220 last summer but there was no reason for it. He shouldn't have any issue staying at 197 in my opinion. Looks larger in the picture because the coach is a pretty small guy.

Hoffman went up to 220 for Fargo for the challenge. He was at 197 for Disney Duals and for Super 32.

Seems to be a clue in the schools he's (supposedly) considering: PSU is widely considered the favorite for Seth Nevills, and Cornell just landed 2 national level HWTs (Seth Janney and Brendan Furman).

Agree. Saw him at Waterway, he was wrestling at 220, and I wasn't very impressed. Well, that's relative - he was still real good, but not what I would consider to be the cream of the crop.

I'm a huge Beard fan and just a few weeks ago I would have said they were on different levels as recruits (in fact, I did). Still think that Beard is better at this point in time, but Hoffman has gotten a lot better over this past year, has length and is very active.

Size wise, compared to Hoffman, his coach looks like Mark Hall in his matches against Meyer, Brunson, Valencia, BoJo, etc. ;)
