that's a great buy- thanks for the heads upI'm an obsessive DIY, for decades I have never used anything but Mobil 1 (normally at Wmart around $25 for 5 quart, now I think around $23!) in my rigs. However, I see Walmart has 5 quart Castrol full synthetic for $19.96. Figure I'll go to it!
If you're a Costco member you can buy 20 quarts @ $2.75 a quart for their brand synthetic.I'm an obsessive DIY, for decades I have never used anything but Mobil 1 (normally at Wmart around $25 for 5 quart, now I think around $23!) in my rigs. Why do you drive a family car? That's dirt cheap. I have an extractor and change my own oil/filter in the E350. It takes about 8 quarts which I've paid $60 for on amazon (10 quarts) in the past.
It's a perfect vehicle, 4Matic - it won't let me down. I have an F150 and an 85 Jeep Scrambler if I want that. Why do you drive a family car?
Not a member, however. thanks! If you're a Costco member you can buy 20 quarts @ $2.75 a quart for their brand synthetic.

Was planning on switching to Rotella for my car but its not on VWs approved list. It'd be my luck to get a warranty claim denied over oil.I used to be a Mobil1 guy, but switched over to Rotella T6 5W-40 for all my motors (cars, rv, truck, rv, bike, tractor, mower, ITV)
Indeed not as good as that Costco price!
For the same thing. Both manufactured by Warren, which does most of the house label synthetic in the US.
Someone tested the Kirkland against the Super Tech and they came out close enough to be considered the same.Interesting on the "Warren" and thank you!

Don't hold me to this, but I believe you can buy the Kirkland oil from Costco.com. Think there is a surcharge for non-members.
