Got yelled at by the Rutgers coach for running it up...lost a national championship for not running it up...moral of the story, run that sh!t up.

Yeah, Doug Graber would have quite a tough time in today's football climate, his rutgers team routinely loses by 40 points.

Joe obviously did not call that play. He was shaking his head in disappointment after it.

I see a possibility for snow on Saturday, when was the last time PSU had a good snow game ?

Can't believe we beat rutgres 20-7 last year, they held us scoreless in the 3rd quarter.

Pretty hard to whip up enthusiasm for this one. Kind of like having to watch a euthanasia procedure where you really dislike the victim, but still feel sorry for him.

In his (Graber's) defense I saw a game of ours on tv, many years ago, and he was doing the color commentary for it and pretty much apologized for the whole thing.

This is where Big Red Dick threw a td to cover the spread since he was a gambling addict right?

Everything that guy touched went to $hit. Even a win over Rutgers.

12. Does it bother you that you will win 10-11 games and you still have to deal with people complaining?

Yes. You get told you have to win this game because it's big. They are all big. Was Michigan big? I think so. I get it. If you take your bias out of it and look at the data, it's helpful. It's a fine line, though, because I know where we want to be and they want us to be. Where did most people have us coming into the season and where are we? I look at our consistency. Would you rather have a one-year spike or four years of consistency. If you look at the last 4 years, we have been pretty good. If you keep doing that and chipping away at the things you need to improve, then you're going to start raising the level of consistency to another level or have the same consistency with a year where things fall right for you.

We have overcome a lot of things since we got here. There are still a lot of things to do. I don't want my answers to ever come off like I am satisfied because I am not. Neither are the coaches or players. But you can look at the big picture, and there is a lot to be proud of. Some programs get it done on the football field but not in the class room. Some programs do those things but have problems socially. I think we are doing well in all those areas. Holistically I am proud of what we have accomplished, but I am not satisfied. 96-97% of our fan base feels the same way.

Let’s satisfy the 3-4% lunatic fringe and run Franklin out of town. I’m sure there will be no negative consequences since so many coaches are obviously much better than Franklin.

Why does the 3-4% have to be the loudest?

Why does the 3-4% have to be the loudest?
Simply human nature. About 3% of the population make the most noise and the other 97% sit back contentedly. It is that way at work. It is certainly that way in political discussions. It is that way in sports. It is that way in discussions on the best cars. It is just human nature that about 3% of the people shout out their opinions in an obnoxious boring way.

Paterno called the pass play. But he wanted it to go to the tight end. Instead, McQueary threw it to the third string wide receiver, who was open. I’m guessing the tight end wasn’t open, but I can’t tell from the replay. Either that or the first read on the play was the wide receiver. Paterno explained that McQueary did what he was coached to do.

But don’t take my word for it. See the collegian article explaining it:
https://www.collegian.psu.edu/archives/article_5981a01e-3d5c-57bc-b04e-3bbde71399c1.html

The objective behind throwing a pass late in the fourth quarter was to allow quarterback Mike McQueary to get in a few repetitions, [Paterno] said. The play in question resulted in a 42-yard touchdown toss to wide receiver Chris Campbell. This was not the original intention.

Paterno's call was looking to hit the tight end coming across the middle for a short gain. But when Campbell popped open, McQueary delivered the ball.

"I should not have to apologize for Mike doing what he has been coached to do," Paterno said. "He made a fine play... Mike spotted the flanker open and did what he was coached to do -- he threw it to him and we got a touchdown out of it. It's as simple as that."

If you guys don’t get upset with me I’ll tell you the real reason why that TD pass was thrown at the end on the 1995 Rutgers Penn State game and NO Joe Paterno had nothing to do with why it happened. I’ll give you a clue, it had to do with Mike McQueary and a few Donors.
