I always go back to talent on the field...and until the waves of change are drastic...OSU will have more collective talent on the roster by a mile than every B1G team...doesn't mean they win all the games, but it means that in the usual hypothetical: "if both teams play their best or top level, the team with more talent typically wins." Using my premise (which I know is arbitrary), our schedule is utter dog meat and the only team that we have less talent than is OSU...collectively we have more than Michigan, especially at QB, WR and RB and have recruited better the last few years. Yes, Iowa and MSU are tricky because they have more proven and better coaching, but are far less talented...I'm going to take a deep dive into the positive and think that last year's horrible season by all measure where we played like doody from game one to 13, was a rebuild...now we will round into a functional unit....I think we go 11-1 losing to OSU or at worst 10-2. If we lose more than two games with a garbage non conf schedule...losing Wisky in the crossover and adding Purdue and Minnesota, then we should all be really disappointed. There is enough talent on this team now where we should blast the crap teams in the league, and beat the marginal ones, i.e. Purdue, Minny, Maryland, etc., most to all of the time. If we still can't do that at this point, then this program has issues. I'm going to be positive and think that if we maximize the talent on the team this year, we shouldn't lose more than two.
