Correct. Penn State is going to Allar full-time unless they lose each of the next two games or eventually lose three. Until they're out of NY6 contention, I don't see it.

That 4th down pattern that Cliff threw to Washington is a loser. No margin for error, ball coming straight over the shoulder. Not a route that can be expected to be a completion in the clutch.

If that's the best play PSU has for 4th and 6 this season may just go like 2021.

Clifford is giving his heart to this game (just threw one into the dirt though) but this game plan is not making it.

Our offense has been an issue for years and that's because we insist on handing the ball off standing still 7yds behind the Los and throwing passes off the back foot.

Going back to it - we talked about it on the Penn State 365 Podcast this week. It's not the turnovers from Sean Clifford that plagues Penn State over the years. It's those missed opportunities. You convert on that fourth down there, it may be tied right now instead of down 14.

His pass was spot on.

To also be fair, if it wasn't for a ton of missed tackles today, half of those big plays don't happen. Think Diaz is probably doing as best as he could to a degree. Not a great game being called but still.
