Dambly, Deviney, DiBerardinis, Eckel, Erickson, Frazier, Greig, Hayes, Hetherington, Hintz, Huber, Jones, Joyner, Khoury, Lubert, Masser, Myers, Peetz, Riley, Shaffer, Silvis, Strumpf, Suhey, and Tomalis. (I apologize for any omissions or inaccuracies). Always remember who they were, and what they did, on November 9, 2011.

I'll give Clemens a slight reprieve. Otherwise, there are no words in the English Language to express my disdain, contempt and revulsion for these despicable serpents.
Marshall I am OUTRAGED at your unfair attack on serpents. Snakes are fascinating and beneficial. Among other good things they do is eat a boatload of rats.

I would say we needed a lot MORE serpents in the Inner Sanctum of the BOT.

You need to know, they also did a lot of good. That was an awful day, of course, but none of these people, and their families are deserving of the hate and vial behavior from the State College community. Your post almost sounds like a call to do something. Leave them alone and live your life well.

I think you meant "vile."

Nermal, I suspected you were from their ilk when you first posted. These people you find praise for have visited hell on PSU and did so all for their own gains and distorted values. Joe and Sue Paterno have accomplished more in their lives than all of these rats combined. I wish nothing but the worst on all of them, their families and their future families. And I lump you in there for good measure.

Really? Give a few examples of the great things they did that offset what they did in Nov. 2011 and on.

It will be tough to overcome their personal deficits, for example:
Anne "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" Riley, with her pedo boyfriend Lee?
Dambly lying about being arrested as a student?
Surma???? Allowed a personal issue to overshadow his leadership duties.
Frazier???? Good grief.
Peetz - the WORST decisions and PR effort of any PSU BOT President, and maybe of any school's BOT ever?
Suhey??? allowed a personal issue - and a petty one at that - to overshadow common sense.
Joyner???? Good lord. Just a bad person all around from all accounts.
Eckel / Silvis / etc. ?????
And last AND perhaps least... Erickson???? The most pathetic excuse for a leader that can be imagined. An obvious puppet.

O.J. Simpson also did a lot of good before he (more likely than not, he wasn't convicted) murdered his ex-wife and her boyfriend, and then committed a crime that got him sent to prison.

You would be right if after realizing how wrong they were a month or even 6 months later they corrected the record and let the world see all of the facts that they are still hiding. They have had 4 years to repent and still nothing. They deserve every negative thing that has been said about them exclusive of death threats and the like.

They know it and so should you! They were then and still are now traitors.

I don't know why you bring their families into it (except maybe John Surma's brother), but those people cost Penn State hundreds of millions of dollars and they deserve everything that is hurled at them.

On the contrary, my post can be read as either positive or negative. Some here will remember them as saviors of Penn State and others as a group who rushed to judgment and fired an honorable man. My post is not a call to action. It is a call for remembrance. How they are remembered is up to each individual.

The Hearts of Darkness,

I am in general a forgiving person, but on this issue....the hypocrisy and defenselessly arrogant actions of the old guard, numerous state judiciary, law enforcement officials, and elected representatives I have lostmy ability to do so for them. If there is a hell fire, I could barely shed a tear for them if such should be their fate. the Apocalypse Then, should be their Apocalypse Now. I would without remorse help them into the boat for their journey to visit with Colonel Kurtz, and view the pikes along the way of others that felt distortions and deflections of truth and justice would not erase their images from the mirror. For one I will never forget the actions of cowards.

No they don't. And, their families have been cruelly treated in so many ways by the ignorant. Many of whom populate this board. Joe himself said with the benefit of hindsight he would have acted differently, I know that more than a few of these men, also would also have acted differently. Hell was unleashed on them and Penn State by the outside world 4 years ago. They made a bad choice. That is all. With the benefit of hindsight, they would have acted differently.

With the benefit of hindsight they would have FFFed it up twice. Even more derelict and deliberate the second time around is my guess.

They have never - ever - admitted that they "made a bad choice."
They have never - ever - apologized to the Paterno for the hell they put that family through as Paterno was dying.
They have never - ever - apologized to the Penn State community for promoting the idea that we are all somehow responsible for Sandusky's sins.

They are evil, amoral, despicable people and I rarely wish ill on anyone, but I hope they all die penniless and alone.

Sadly, I have only heard one say that. And they have had plenty of opportunities

They will all rot in Hell for what they did to the finest man to ever grace a football field.

Simpson was later found liable for the deaths Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman in a civil suit. Given the manner in which those deaths occurred, what does that say to you?

Well whatever cruel treatment they have experienced, I'd like to suggest they earned it. These misanthropes didn't make a mistake. They entered into a conspiracy with one of the most corrupt government machines in the nation. They didn't make a mistake, they acted out of self interest and in some cases to cover their malfeasance. They didn't make A mistake, they made $$$ millions of mistakes and continue to spend Penn State money to cover their asses. If they made a simple mistake under the glare of national attention, simply release the Freeh Documents so everyone can see that it was all just a MISTAKE. We all know that won't happen cause we know they are crooks. Make no MISTAKE about it, these are despicable human beings who deserve to be treated like lepers. Remember, the trustee who led the SITF, earned his reputation screwing the families of Vioxx victims. The only MISTAKE was placing these arrogant, soulless individuals in leadership positions at PSU.

fairgambit,

good memory, or good research. you listed all of the trustees on 11/9/11. For extra credit, you have to list their 1st names, and what type of trustee they were (just kidding -- I have that info if you need it).

you could quibble about the status of Erickson on 11/9. Spanier was the President at the start of the day. By the end of the day, he had been relieved of that role, and had been replaced by Erickson.

Abnormal, either you're delusional or you're a TOOL (or both)!!! The yahoos you defend have had 4 years to walk back their bad decisions, but they have done nothing. Instead, they obfuscate and prevent the elected alum BOT members from even seeing the evidence used by Freeh to implicate JVP and PSU. They are perfectly content to saddle Paterno and PSU with the blame and go about their privileged lives.

So take your sanctimonious suck-up act someplace else. The aforementioned bastards deserve all the sh*t thrown in their direction.

Forgiveness is available to sinners.

First, however, must come repentance and atonement. This is Old Testament stuff and also present in other religions. There's a reason it's been a sound concept for thousands of years.

So, tell your pals to repent and confess. And then do their best to atone, or make up for their sins. After that, we can talk about forgiveness.
