Grad transfer Carr

The only point you have is the one you love to sit on.

Stay tuned, folks, this is gonna be fun.
Welcome back. Did your mom finally let you back into the basement for some screen time so you could respond? Bet you've been working on that response all day.
Please keep going Art.

Not sure what everyone arguing about. Seems pretty simple. we lost depth due to the grad transfers, and Franklin is adding some depth with guys that have experience. I’m pretty confident that the players who give us the best chance to win will play. It’s a good thing to have backups that are capeable. This move also gives Franklin the luxury of redshirting any true Freshman recievers who may not be ready.

Exactly...don't hate the player, hate the game...

Franklin and Co. are doing what they have to do to compete for Natties... The portal just opened up another Avenue for teams to do just that... respect

You mean my mother who, in your estimation, mistreated me so badly to leave me so embittered? She passed away.

No. Didn't say that. I have no idea what causes you to feel the need to look for every opportunity to tell your fellow PSU fans that they are wrong, about mostly mundane details noless. Is it, that after a long day of updating Wikipedia articles, you crave the personal interaction in making yourself feel superior to others?

Please keep your rational thoughts to yourself, and don’t intrude on the mud wrestling.

Funny how you don't know what you said, but you have no reluctance to tell me what I said and my motivations to boot. Dumb jackass.

Nope. I know what I said.
Now, regarding you...You have been such a jackass for so long that it naturally makes one wonder. Generally, people who spend most of their time cutting others down, have a self-esteem problem and cutting others down makes them feel better. Is this you? IDK, but it sure fits the evidence. I hope one day you can evolve and get past whatever is causing it.

You don't know me so shove your amateur psychoanalysis up your ass.

in this thread, the only thing that is strange is the lack of interest by NW. Fitz has had a gold mine from unheralded players who made impacts for the Cats. given that one of those players was this guy's brother it was odd they did not want him. we have far more talent at WR than NW, so it does seem strange they did not want this guy - maybe it is they didnt have scholarship room and we do. either way, our new WR coach seems to be someone who knows talent, so trust his judgment here.

we would all want an impact player at DT or OT from the the transfer group, but those are the same positions everyone else wants - and if they were that good they would be headed to the NFL if they were eligible - not another CFB team.

Schollies are tight at a program like NU where there are very few players transferring out and most staying for 4 yrs.

I'm sure w/ the last few schollies available, Fitz wants to rewards a couple of walk-ons and the 'Cats are battling the Domers for the services of a grad transfer punter (a position of greater need).

WR has been a position of need the past few years, but the 'Cats seem to be in pretty good shape w/ a mix of veterans, promising young players and incoming recruits.

A greater need is at the superback/TE position since Cam Green retired.

in another year, the coaching staff may have pounced on Carr (not sure how much of an interest they had), but this just happens to be a year (barring injuries) where the 'Cats should be fine at the WR position.

Well,
Jerry rice went to Mississippi Valley State
Andre Reed went to Kutztown
Marques Colston went to Hofstra
Shannon Sharpe went to Savannah State
Donald Driver went to Alcorn State
Antonio Gates went to Kent State
Terrell Owens went to UT-Chattanooga

It's DII, but Carr is a DII All-American while facing double teams on most plays. He has good size (6'2"). His brother is Austin Carr, who played for Northwestern and currently plays on Sundays in NOLA. Will his DII success translate to the P5? Will he be a star? IDK, but this isn't exactly as big a stretch as you try to make it.
I thought Austin Carr played basketball at ND.:)
