Had penalty been called on final int -- where is ball placed?

I'm not looking to incite a riot and would like to put the reffing mess behind me, but since I'm not a former ref and some here have been (or perhaps still are), can anyone tell me what might have happened if a flag had been thrown on the final psu play?

First, I'm not sure if the call would have been for holding or PI and/or how that might dictate where the ball was placed.

I read a comment the other day that it would have been on the 6 (spot of the foul?) but i don't think that is right. We started at the 24. My best guess was we have it first and goal at the 9.

Ball was snapped at the 24. Contact at about the 8. So ball is spotted at the 9 (it’s either where the interference occurred, or 15 yards if it’s beyond 15 yards).

I thought their was a push to the back on a receiver (#5) around the 7 yard line.

No. PI is not a “half the distance” deal

Correct. It's pretty much the only penalty that isn't.
