PSU was 14th and 15th, michigan was 7th.
As I posted previously, the pre-season rankings over the past 4 years was not significantly different (I think most of us agreed with 14/15 given our losses).
in 2018, it was penn state 9, michigan 14.
in 2017, psu 6 and um 9/11.
in 2016, mich was 7th... we didn't even rate a mention (no one could argue that because VERY few here knew what that team was going to become... how great SB and McSorley would be... so kinda hard to fault the polling folks).
Harbs is on track to tie a record of the great Bo S. next season. 5 bowl losses in a row. OUCH.

They CLAIM 11 national championships. Like Pitt CLAIMS like 43. PSU should just CLAIM national championships for every undefeated season, or frankly 1 loss seasons, like these other clownshows.

Harbaugh only has two years left on his deal. They should be pounded over that in recruiting. Very strange that they haven't extended him yet. You want to see the coach having 4 years on his deal, ideally.
They're still working out the details of that lifetime contract from a few years back.
Maybe they only expect Harbaugh to make it two more years before he perishes in some bizarre fashion, but wins a Darwin Award in the process. So maybe it really is a lifetime contract.
I wonder why folks write pejorative posts about other programs. Penn State has to bear the brunt of pent up angst due to these type of comments. During the last fiasco, Penn State received very little support. Why oh why we continue disparaging others.
