Sorry I have been "absent" for the previous week. Work schedule has been crazy, but it is slowing down.
1) I have been impressed thus far with the team. Obviously, the Albany loss hurt a little. However, it's the first game for the Freshman, missing a rotation player, and it was a feel out game.
2) impressed by the W on Sunday. We played very hard and physical, which is what we can expect. Very impressed with Lamar Stevens the last two games, looks to be playing most comfortably out of all of the freshman, huge matchup problem for the opposing team.
3) Tony Carr settled for way too many jump shots his first game. That's not his game one bit. His game is getting in the lane, creating for others, and then looking for his. He did a much better job of that last game.
4) Shep definitely looks more comfortable off the ball than playing PG, look for him to get more shots next game! He is a scorer, it's an adjustment all around for him. We need to take advantage of his strengths!! Looks more rested in the second half than he did all last season.
5) Love the way Watkins and Samuel have played, very good additions that are much needed.
6) we need to get more off the bench, need more depth.
7) Recruting is status quo, involved with a ton of guys all at the same positions, but no movement yet. Look for this week for some movement! I will certainly keep you all updated!!
