Hodge Vote

“This guy had 3 less bonus point wins including 2 less pins but my goodness he never got into it post match that one time with that one guy”

The criteria were:

1.) Record. (Advantage: Parris)
2) Dominance / Bonus win %. (Basically a wash.)
3. Quality of Competition. (Basically a wash.)
4. Sportsmanship. (Advantage: Parris after the Washington match and social media around it.)

I’m a huge PSU Homer but my objective vote is Parris.

I agree with many here that there is nothing wrong with wrestlers speaking their mind and Carter certainly does that. But in life you also learn that what you say and how you say it can impact many things including winning awards, getting promotions, being hired, etc. It's a life lesson to learn that some things are best left unsaid.

What did he say that would stop him from being promoted?

This was my opinion as well.
My initial thought was Carter was the third best choice.

Paris does deserve it imo.

How often does the award change its criteria? Removing the “career” portion really hurt Carter.

Sportsmanship is effectively just a tiebreaker criterion to help ensure that a-holes don’t win out over classy competitors when the objective metrics are really close.
But what if I really like my a-hole?
