How did Zain make out in regard to the ESPY award?

Just looked it up and the winner was Deshaun Watson the QB for Clemson. Did not say the voting numbers. The good thing is that Zain can build on his resume for next years award;)

Was Anthony Robles the only wrestler to have won an ESPY?
I believe so, but it wasn't for Best Male Athlete. Anthony won, rightfully so, the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance and Best Male Athlete with a Disability.

My personal opinion is the same as BOSCO's. It'll be a cold day when wrestlers win an award such as this against footballers and basketballers in this country. Won't keep me from voting as often as possible...just sayin'.

EDIT: Just found this...Kyle Maynard from Gwinnett, Georgia, won the ESPY Award for "Best Athlete with a Disability" in 2004. He was a high school wrestler.

... Found Cael winning in 2002, Best Male College Athlete.
... Found another wrestler winning Best Athlete with a Disability...Ryan Kocer in 2008.
Wow. It seems like an ESPY-winning wrestler has to be the first undefeated wrestler or has to overcome a serious disability. That's a high bar.

Very true!! Cael transcended wrestling's place in sport's pecking order, popularity-wise.

In fact, sources on Al Gore's invention show that wrestling is below tennis, swimming, horse-racing, bowling, soccer, track and field, boxing, golf, ice hockey, auto racing, basketball, baseball, and football in popularity. Where wrestling does make an appearance, it references pro wrestling as more popular.
