Prior to the start of this season, I posted my opinion that 2016 would be the most challenging and most likely the worst season since the sanctions were levied. I confidently expressed my view that beginning with 2017 we would begin our return to national prominence, but expressed my deep reservations about this season. As a Penn State fan since 1965, I cannot tell you how happy I am that I was completely wrong. Congratulations to the players, the coaching staff and the entire football program for a wonderful season Now lets win the B1G championship to top off a dream season, and hope that these young men get the opportunity to play in the 4-team playoff. I believe they deserve it, especially since this is a group of true student athletes. We don't have kids who tell the press: "Classes? They didn't bring me here to go to class, they brought me here to play football". Our kids are top performers in the classroom as well as on the football field. I could not be more proud of them.
