I believe it's not helping our chances to get in

the way the players are answering the questions about being in the playoff. They have to make their case and let it be known that they would be extremely disappointed should they not get in. That it would be completely unacceptable.

They keep saying, "we'll see how things turn out...we just won the B1G and the Rose Bowl isn't a bad consolation prize"

I kinda feel the committee may think "we can leave them out, they wouldn't be too upset about that anyway" "they're happy with their conference championship"

Maybe weird thinking but we should be in over OSU!...also one of my favourite seasons ever!

Sorry but that is nonsense. They are giving perfect answers showing they are gentlemen and thoughtful. Ultimately their answers mean nothing to the committee but in terms of national perception during our return to prominence their answers are perfect.

Committee doesn't give 2 cents what players say after a game.

The player comments were measured and appropriate. If Franklin wants to use the spotlight to build a case, good on him. We're 11-2 and one way or another are playing in at least 1 more primetime spotlight game. This season is an unbelievable success across the board. Players getting caught up in politics just sets them up for a letdown if things don't go our way with committee.

Not sure why you guys keep saying you should be in over OSU lol. If you guys are in it's gonna be because Washington is left out.

If the one of the committee's metrics is whether or not players on a given team would be upset then the system needs to be blown up.

That's ridiculous. Teams will be upset no matter how many playoff spots there are. If it were a 100 team playoff teams 101 and 102 would be upset...big deal.

Seriously?....the committee stayed up all night reading quotes from the players from the prospective participating teams to make their decision. LOL These old school bureaucrats slept like babies and will mindlessly and thoughtlessly do what the establishment conference powers tell them to do.

I'm not saying OSU shouldn't get in but why do you think they are untouchable aside from the fact they are OSU and coached by media darling Urban Meyer?

Fine in theory but question for you - if OSU had to play last night and lost to Wisconsin, are they still in? The 13th data point has to carry significant weight or the conference title games are completely pointless.

OSU is a great team, but they have considerable holes....particularly for anyone that's watched the OL against the top half of their schedule. I don't have any issue saying OSU should be in discussion but as far as having a resume beyond reproach to be a lock, you're basically talking about a September win in Norman over a team that was barley playing like a top 25 team at the time being a difference maker. Yeah, they all count but should that win trump winning a division title, conference title AND head to head? Hardly.

We can get into the undercard. OSU beat Nebraska...no better than PSU beating Iowa; PSU smacked an MSU team around that was a 2 pt conversion from beating OSU....and if Temple was named Houston, a win over the American Conference champ would be rendering a lot of this controversy meaningless.

OSU should've won the conference. OSU should've beat PSU. You were close but didn't. Too bad, so sad, get 'em next year. This is EXACTLY what people would be saying if roles were reversed.

OSU you should for the simple reason that they did,t make it to yesterday

You should NOT be able to "back into the playoffs" no matter who you are

I will try to make it simple for you.

What we know
1. SEC best team, Alabama undefeated
2. ACC best team, Clemson 1-loss
3. Pac12 best team, Washington 1-loss
4. Big10 best team, Penn State 2-loss
5. Big12 best team, Oklahoma 2-loss

Since the playoff is to identify the Nation's best team, can not be 2nd best of 14 and still be the best of them all. No other teams than the above 5 merit consideration.
Penn State is getting in over OU thanks to Houston and OSU.
