In retrospect, I would agree. Iowa rarely lost big matches in the 80s/90s, and this bout against Iowa in the semis showed that PSU was the new king of high stakes matches. It made Iowa mortal and they lost that swagger ever since.

Q placed that knife with the surgical precision of an Eagle but ripped it out with the ferociousness of a Lion. Left the poor little black bird heartless.

I have spent quite a while trying to find this one, but to no avail. The quest has been worth it, though, as I am reminded, once again, how exceptional Jason was as a wrestler. His creativity was off the charts. Every match of his was a must watch event. I am sincerely bummed he didn't continue on in freestyle for a few more years, but I am grateful for the years we did get to see him wrestle. He is right up there in the top tier with Ed, David, Zain and Bo as my favorite PSU wrestlers to watch. Give me 2 1/2 more seasons and Mitch may also share that tier : )
