OSU is on upswing and has been improving each week, while we are now not the same team that won in Madison. I think had we played them opening day, we would likely have won.

Timing is what it is. It’s one of the reasons OSU always wrapping up their season with UM is bs. Neither UM or OSU ever has to bounce back after an emotional rivalry game. Protects both programs.
It's not just an OSU Michigan thing to play on the last week, it's a rivalry thing

We rotate and don’t play msu at the end of every season. We ended with Rutgers in 2019. I want to end with OSU or UM.
It's about tradition. They've been playing each other in the final game for 85 years. Thank God there are still some traditions left in college football.

Protects both programs? OMG, stop. Michigan plays Sparty every year in October. OSU plays us every year in October. If we could hold a candle on a year-by-year basis with OSU, they’d have plenty to recover from.
BIG should go back to 8 league games and get away from any league games in the first 3 games. let teams get themselves together in the OOC.
OSU has had to play in the Big Championship the next game. OSU has to play Michigan after playing Michigan State the week before. Good enough for you?
PSU plays MSU the game after they play OSU.
You play who you play when you play them. Injuries, exposed weaknesses, all part of the process. I don’t think we have much of a chance tonight and hopefully don’t lose at Maryland as a result of trying to compete tonight.
