If you could start an NFL team with one current player, whose the man ?

Saquon Barkley. He's only getting started.

It just sucks the Giants are a disaster

OBVIOUSLY: the self-proclaimed best running back of all-time, the running back that sat out all last year and betrayed his Steeler teammates. You know, what’s his name, it’ll come to me in a few weeks or months.

Love SB, but one player to start your team and many, completely subjectively pick a RB, easily the most replaceable position on the field? Lol

It’s QB or Aaron Donald if you want to stray.

Tom Brady ..... seems like that guys team wins the Super Bowl every year..... and I'd want to win the SB.

Antonio Brown. Since the team will suck for a few years gotta give the fans something to entertain them.

Offenses (Brady, Mahomes, Rodgers) get all the headlines but as the old saying goes, defenses win championships. Khalil Mack or a healthy J J Watt would be a good cornerstone to start with. You can't win the game if you can't score. If I were to go the QB route, I would take Rodgers over Brady by thismuch. If Mahomes is still doing this in 10 years after Brady and Rodgers are gone, then we will talk.

If you’re going offense, it’s Mahomes. If you’re going defense, it’s Aaron Donald. The two best combinations of youth, dominance, and durability on each side of the ball.

This guy!

To coin a phrase: He is in the best shape of his life!

That's exactly why I wouldn't pick him. One all-world RB makes very little difference in today's game. This question should really be which "non-QB would you choose" to make it more interesting.

I understand that QB and DE/DT are more valued positions in today's game but, IMHO, Saquon Barkley's singular talent necessitates making an exception to the general rule. He is a threat to take it to the house on every single play. He absolutely excels at every skill a running back needs: taking it around the end, cutting back, running in between the tackles, pass catching, blocking, all of it. He is the best running back on the planet by a wide margin. And an even better person.

Ryan Fitzpatrick. Because he has played for every other NFL team, so why not the new one?
He'll put together 4 or 5 of the best games ever played to start the season, too. Just make sure you have another capable QB waiting in the wings by week 6.

Mahomes certainly has looked good, but I would like to see him do it again for another year or two before anointing him as The Man. I understand if others disagree with that.

I'm with you, but the question is who do you take right now, at this moment. I can't think of any other QB I'd take instead.
