Is Jimmy that much better than Kade??

Not a wrestling expert but it seems to be that Jimmy has more "upside" although he is frustratingly inconsistent. Jimmy probably has the potential to score more points at NCAAs than Kade.
Don't have anything in front of me but I think jimmy has beaten more top level guys than moss. So better chance to get points. Didn't he place 2nd in the big 10 last year
Yes. He is better. But i am telling everyone right now we are not going to get much if anything out of 33 41 74 and maybe 97....We MUST pull Hall's red shirt to make up for 2 of these weights. Now if Cassar can beat out Matt for 97 that may help some. Matt is not Mordan. Both are very short for the weight class. BUT Morgan is a great athl and Matt is just a hard working young man....I have sat for 2 hours now and did calculations. We do not win if we don't pull Hall's red shirt...JMO
Kade Moss is NOT the answer. It sure stinks Gulibon has had some major struggles at 141 these last two years. I am sure it must hurt him more than any of us. As far as I am concerned, I want him in there til the end of the season. Maybe I am wrong, but he is a team player. He bumped up to 141 last year for Conaway to have 133. That could have been JG being an AA last year at 133.
This year he stays at 141 for Cortez to take over 133. Jimmy is obviously undersized at 141. Sure he has his mental lapses and is inconsistent, but today he could have got pinned and fought hard off his back. He also kept fighting and got a late TD to avoid the major. Hang in there Jimmy.

Kade has exactly 1 win against a top 20 guy - it was his pin against Heil two years ago at the Scuffle - anyone believe that was anything other than a fluke?

Jimmy is our guy - he is what he is - inconsistent. If he gets a good draw and gets hot at nationals he can AA but chances are he'll only win a match or two there. I'm not even sure Kade can qualify for Nationals.

If the shirt is pulled and wrestles in the tournament do the Lions win by 1, 5 or more?
While I agree Jimmy should be the guy, can we stop with this "he could beat anyone" narrative that just simply isn't true?

On his best day, Jimmy could sneak up and beat a top kid like Heil, similar to how he beat Micah Jordan last year.
But there are certain matchups that Jimmy will never win against - the way McKenna from Stanford can mop the mat with Jimmy comes to mind.
McKenna, Ashnault, Jack, Kolodzik among others would handle him
I think 133 could be better than we realize . If Cortez wasn't decent Gulibon would of been at that weight. Also keep in mind Hall's goal might be to run the table and that might have been part of this decision.

5 or 6 with Hall wrestling. Heck we don't even know if Mark is going to stay around 5 years so wrestle him now....HE IS READY NOW !!!!

Where is he going? Declare early for the NWL? No doubt he has eyes for the olympics in 2020 but there is no reason he would leave State College even then
The funny thing about this is: the past 5+ years I have traveled to Huntsville fairly often for work, and have yet to hear the sports talk stations say one bad word about Nick Satan, or even question anything he's done. Well, maybe the Nashville and Atlanta statons, but once you cross the state line, nothing.
Of course Coach Satan would probably hunt down callers and rip their hearts out with his bare hands, so there's that.
Spyker reminds me of the guy on CNN election night in the background. He had a touch 50 inch monitor thing to show districts and polls. The election was won but there he was still there doing the math. Someone noticed in the control room and went down to get him out of there. Too funny but kind of sad

Jimmy is a great wrestler/athlete but make no mistake he (and his PSU career) has disappointed. Easy to say as a Monday's Morning QB but given his credentials and ability coming out of HS....disappointing college career...he had the look of a NCAA champion coming to PSU...still may pull it off but "highly" unlikely.
Maybe, just maybe PA state titles are tremendous credentials but imperfect predictors of D1 college success.
