Jax Forrest to OK State

He’s lanky but he made 57kg this summer and was super competitive. I think he’ll slot in at 141 in college nicely.
Jax is my favorite kid in that class. I think his style and scrambling ability will be so good at the next level. That said, Blaze is quite possibly the best recruit to come out in awhile. His results over the last 2 years are just unbelievable. I would love to have both and just figure out who goes where but I wouldn’t blame Jax if he wanted a cleaner path to what he thinks his ideal weight is

If SVN doesn’t take his medshirt year then Jax fits perfectly at 149 after a redshirt year. 141 opens up next year. Blaze should slot in at 141 and I feel like he’s ready to go as a true freshman. If Jax doesn’t come 149 looks like a small hole. Duke and Sealey are too big. Other guys coming in (Herring)but none the can’t miss kind like Blaze and Jax
I imagine the Raney twins will look elsewhere if Iowa lands Jax, but then again I suppose it’s also possible Jax fills out his frame quite a bit

Not to sound the alarm, but that would be an unstoppable lineup, and hopefully Cael and DT can steal enough pieces to prevent it. For one, I’d probably like PSU to pursue Mocco in case Barr decides to stay at 197 and put the Mirasolas at transfer risk.

Depending on how 2025 closes up, I can see Cael redshirting our 2 2025 studs and move them to 2026 (Blaze can just lift to be a bigger 141)

Normally you and I see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, but that statement is just ridiculous. Guaranteed at least half of that wouldn't work out the way you think it would.
That's why you need like 15 guys to compete with PSU's 15 guys. Because we don't just have 10. You need extras so you can plug a spot where the kid only turned out to be really good (Facundo) with a guy that can win a Natty (Kasak). Right now we have four or five weights where we are going to go with the kid who turns out best over the next few years.
I think svn has 2 years with the med shirt. So Jax would need to red shirt for Shane's last year.

For sure. It was meant to be hyperbolic. PSU obviously still in the driver’s seat, just wanted to point out that, on paper, Iowa has a viable path to contending once again. We’ll see how it goes and if Bob can get everything sorted out for them. Still have miles of ground to make up and, if anything, the Bassett commitment is gonna force some real urgency out of DT over there in Stillwater.

I expect some to transfer. They won't like the disparity in wages. Bob opened up a can of worms this weekend. The players will set the rules. Mocco to okc me thinks..
National championships are not won between two teams and never have been. No matter the lineups there are Always wrestlers from other schools that throw a wrench in things kids still have to make it through a grind of three days and reach their maximum potential. The only coach that comes close to being consistent with that currently is Cael Sanderson and I highly doubt he gives two shits about where Bo chose to go. He LIKES his guys lol. And when the dust clears history tells us PSU will be the ones raising their hands in victory for the foreseeable future. WE ARE

I said young guy/recruit lineup. Lots of other guys including Barr could be listed. I was just making a list to compare with the Iowa one posted. Desmond has jumped levels. Still probably around #20 but he beat DeLuca last year. He is most likely the 125 once LL goes to 133
Going to Iowa for corn when you are really going to get scorn, but everybody hears corn is a little like when the jab was being pushed with "safe and defective" but everybody heard safe and effective.
What is Vega’s likely weight in college? 141? Same issue at Okie State as PSU with Blaze at 141. Jax is better but Vega has absolutely jumped into the elite category. Iowa might make the most sense lineup wise but his style does not fit there. He needs to be at Okie St or PSU to get the most out of him.
