I know most want to just put Brady at 157 as it represents the better weight to AA but maybe it's possible Cael really believes Tony has a higher ceiling than Creighton if both were able to qualify for NCAAs? I know Creighton has some wins over NQs but he is a decision wrestler. His first matchup would be a guy seeded single digits then even if he makes R16 (which is impressive) that's only 1 point with 2 decision wins.

Tony has shown an ability to lock up a cradle with his wingspan (thought he had a chance to pack Holschlag) and he seems to have that ankle pick learned pretty well. He was in striking distance of both Teemer and Humphreys in his first 2 months of D1 wrestling. If anything, he might have the most room to grow the next 2 months since he's new to D1 wrestling.

All that combined with the fact Brady might simply just be more comfortable making 165 and it might make more sense than you think. Alas, we shall see.

Re. Negron’s first year in D1 wrestling, it would be interesting to find out more about the three years he spent with the (NC State) Wolfpack Wrestling Club. Negron logged 15-20 matches his first two years and none last year. You have to think he rolled around regularly with guys in the team, but probably didn’t get the same level of coaching and maybe could not participate in regular practices? Hopefully Uncle Tony frequents this board and can fill us in

Well, for just about anyone, concussion history or not, being able to eat and hydrate is better!
