I heard from a good source that he already committed to the Bucknuts. I believe this is the result of hiring Corley as the receivers coach. This was a monumental mistake by Franklin. Fleming really likes Brian Hartline. I can't believe we cannot sign the best players in our own state.

Sorry lbujoe33. Many of us are having a hard time getting excited about this on May 28...

You have no idea why he may (most likely is) choosing OSU. Yes he may really like Hartline, but he could also just feel like he wants to get further away from home and not have 10+ Southern Columbia grads at PSU with him. Maybe he doesn't want to bump into his ex girlfriend. Maybe he wants a more of a city type atmosphere.

The fact of the matter is we were in there battling for the kid. He isn't the first top PA recruit that PSU didn't get and he won't be the last. If I had a choice I would have wanted the Breesee kid over Fleming based on their potential impact. Both of those kids could be outstanding both could be flops. Maybe Fields just absolutely sucks as a college QB and OSU struggles to get Fleming the ball.

Would you rather win the BIG and get into the MNC without him, or not win the BIG with him? Fact is we don't know how things will play out. So I'm not going to stay up nights worrying about where he goes to College.

Bullshit. Fleming has spent more than enough time at PSU to know what the program is all about. How do you know he doesn't like the hot dogs on the training table? Good luck to Julian and the sun will come up tomorrow.

Franklin serves ketchup with hot dogs on the training table. Huge recruiting mistake. Huge.
Franklin serves Texas Tommies and I hear that Fleming has a preference for a Hungarian hot dog with stadium mustard, very popular in Ohio.

If he ends up there, by far the biggest recruiting failure of the Franklin era

Hartline was the only coach at Fleming’s track meet the other week so there’s really no suspense here on where he’s going. I wonder whatever happened to Mark Webb? Haven’t heard his name called with the GA bulldogs. He was another PA receiver who the staff went to the mat for and he spurned them

He got moved to DB no sooner than he arrived on campus

Would have been great to add Fleming. However, we do have a 5 star who is taller, and just as fast 4.52 verified in hs...........only 8 months older than Julian and about to enter his second season with The Nittany Lions.

Penn state will be fine without getting Fleming. We do have some good receivers so not all is lost without getting Fleming.

Meltdown threads are the best.

ibujoe is not up on current events but I fail to understand why you think we stand a better chance to win a MNC without Fleming?

We will survive without Fleming. We have recruited extremely well at the position and will continue to do so.

The good news about his verbal commitment this week is that it will end the drama of watching this one play out in the newspapers and on the message boards. I’m guessing the kid didn’t want it that way, so props to him for making his decision early and allowing everyone to focus on the big picture and not a prolonged, drama filled recruitment, as many top recruits choose to do.

Can the sun come up after the sky falls?

You have lbu and joe in your name, but you complain about Franklin not getting the best players in PA????? You obviously don’t know anything about Joe in his later years.

I am remember when the Ismail brothers both picked different schools .I believe we knocked of Notre Dame when Rocket was on the team in 1990
