Julian Fleming

I don't think he's that kind of guy. Former OSU player and now assistant. If anything, he'll be our coordinator. And will probably get a fat pay raise here shortly.
He’s not that kind of guy? You mean he’s not motivated or driven to be better? Sounds like you got yourself a winner there.

Fleming’s girlfriend had an easier time dumping him than the BWI posters— it’s easier to dominate at a small school division that Southern Columbia is in—. let’s see how he does in college— the whole part. I like the guys Franklin’s bringing in. You have to buy into the program— that’s what Franklin was talking about after Ohio State— to be elite his way, players have to go to class and be all in (just like the Grand Experiment in the new generation)not everyone is made out to be a Lion!

I heard from a good source that he already committed to the Bucknuts. I believe this is the result of hiring Corley as the receivers coach. This was a monumental mistake by Franklin. Fleming really likes Brian Hartline. I can't believe we cannot sign the best players in our own state.
Well, what you believe isn't accurate. Corely wasn't hired as the receivers coach, he was hired as the running backs coach. Seider became available who was a huge get and Corely was moved to WR coach. He was never staying past his first year at that position.

But Corley was the wide receivers coach at his previous school.

Do you Buckeye fans really need so much attention that you have to come to another team’s board and infest it with bullshit? Getting a bit worried are you? Not as confident in your new coach as you’re trying to play it off?
Why would we be worried about our new coach? He's shown to be a kick ass recruiter, player caller, coordinator, QB developer, you name it.

If anything it sounds like PSU fans are worried that are reign of tyranny will continue

He hasn’t shown he can be a kick ass head coach yet...kind of important. I heard the same shit about Luke Fickell.

I prefer this Fleming, Carrie Anne

It's a little weird not to keep a player from that HS, but in the end who cares?

We've seen so many players not pan out, both here and elsewhere. Nobody even knows how good he'll be. I'm always kind of skeptical of 4- and 5-star players coming out of an A or AA high school. at that level they rarely if ever compete against anyone else who is going to play in D1.

I'm more concerned with the grammar being taught at OSU. Before you get upset, I'm only kidding. I don't believe you ever went to OSU.
But he got a two for one sale on Buckeye shirts at Wal Mart....that’s the true test of an Ohio State fan.

What you gonna say when that new head coach beats James? Just asking for a friend.

Your comment isn’t really relevant to what I’m saying. I’m not questioning that Day will be successful (the o$u machine $$$ will insure that), I’m just saying why rush to commit when he hasn’t coached a game (last year doesn’t count).

Not sure if this was already written but seems like Flemming kept implying he is the #1 WR but what will happen if someone surpasses him later this year as #1, it came off a little arrogant but kids are kids, I just hope he calms down his comments just in case he does have to decommits or go into the transfer portal in the next few years

In case anyone still thinks these kids don't pay attention to "fans'" comments on social media and message boards, check out Landon Tengwall's tweet (and the convo that follows):

I think saying whatever you want on a message board, to other fans of a particular program, about whatever, is an entirely different matter than tweeting at recruits about whatever. The latter is what I would call harassment - the former is just fans being salty with one another.

Someone should show him the list of seething vitriol that 11 warriors produced toward Carmen last year. What mostly I have seen Penn State fans saying is that Fleming's reasons are flawed and sound like Ohio St negative recruiting pitches verbatim. Now apparently we are getting crap for pointing out that Ohio St negative recruiting pitches bought hook, line, and sinker by a recruit are patently false.

And therein lies the problem with all this carping and complaining. Neither you nor I or anyone else on this board is being given a football scholarship in the near future. However unsophisticated and impressionable 17 and 18 year kids are. And if it negatively effects a few decisions then we unwittingly, I hope, caused the damage.

Good, you explain it to him...the same way you're going to explain to Fleming why your analytics show he should go to PSU.
