Lol...yes, they are. This is just sad and pathetic.
Yes I would agree the history of low academic standards for Ohio State athletes is sad and pathetic. I don't know for sure if that is what attracted this young man or not. I think it was more the chance to play right away. We will likely never know. But the fact remains there is a long list of players who skated through the OSU academic program focused on getting to the next level.

Clown radio guy from Mercer County (Pittsburgh pro teams fanboy and Pitt c*cksucker) is on Twitter admonishing Penn State fans for ripping Fleming. Kind of funny because last fall he questioned if Fleming could hold a candle to some kid from Farrell.

I have no idea what went down with Martell, but obviously he wants to play and for some reason wasn't certain he'd play at OSU. We kinda did have this happen with Stevens -- the presumed starter decided to transfer. Probably because he wasn't going to be the starter. I'd assume the same about Martell. And maybe Martell also realized the offense would be different and would no longer be a fit for his skill set.

This would concern me. Possibly just a misunderstanding. But I'd be at least a little concerned if a 5 star QB was claiming our head coach lied to him.
Day didn’t recruit Tate. He let him know it would be in his best interest to move on. Pretty simple

I am remember when the Ismail brothers both picked different schools .I believe we knocked of Notre Dame when Rocket was on the team in 1990
Also the same year rocket picked Notre Dame, Greg Skrepnak chose Michigan

Now that’s sad and pathetic. How bitter, frustrated and depressed do you have to be to relish in one of your rivals inability to land a recruit that threw all your teams material in the garbage, and refused to even acknowledge or return your coaches phone calls. They acted the same way when Breese chose Clemson. Their lucky I guess, 2* recruits don’t generate this type of drama.

Committing to Tosu is a risky proposition these days. With the buckeye culture run amok as evidenced by all the victims of dr. strauss and all the people there who knew and did nothing but enable the abuser, Tosu probably won’t have a football program. Disgusting place.
The problem is NOTHING will be done to any of their programs - including football - because all of the disgusting BS took place decades ago. There is actually no one in place from those years that the NCAA could go after unlike some of the other NCAA penalties in the past. Who would you bring charges against if you were the NCAA ? Anyone in mind ?

The sure way to take down their over-rated football program is on the field and Jim and UM will start on that this year. They're going to leave Ann Arbor embarrassed this November. The beginning of the end for those scumbags

Penalize the programs, not people.

I hope we run them out of Beaver stadium and never play them again. Waste of time.

It's been alluded to in this topic, but the fact of the matter is that tOSU is the closest to the southern schools in terms of under-the-table payments to recruits as well as lacking any pretext of academic requirements. From Maurice Clarett's SUV to Terelle Pryor's "I didn't come here to play no school" comments, tOSU is everything bad about college football.

Cardale Jones was the one who didn’t come to play no school. Pryor was the OSU QB who believed that we all kill people and steal from each other. Keep it straight.

I heard from a good source that he already committed to the Bucknuts. I believe this is the result of hiring Corley as the receivers coach. This was a monumental mistake by Franklin. Fleming really likes Brian Hartline. I can't believe we cannot sign the best players in our own state.

Maybe, just maybe, he did find something OSU had that PSU didn't have for his education.

PSU got there 5 Star Receiver last year in Shorter still has 4 years left to play.
On to the next.

Lol you’re delusional. Seems odd for a top recruit to commit to a head coach that never was a head coach before.

It’s been thoroughly discussed here.....he’s in love with his future position coach at tOSU.

Regarding Day, he probably won’t ever approach Urban’s W-L record, but he seems reasonably likeable so far and certainly doesn’t have all the personal baggage and embarrassments that Meyer has accumulated over his career.

What happens when Hartline’s star rises and he bolts for a coordinator job somewhere else in a year or two?

I don't think he's that kind of guy. Former OSU player and now assistant. If anything, he'll be our coordinator. And will probably get a fat pay raise here shortly.
