Kirkvliet is transferring from Ohio State

Wow....! I'll keep it to that for now.

Naahhh

Maybe my U23 jest about him sitting next to World Champ Bo on the long flight home and the thought of the bevy of world class training partners.....

20% PSU
80% back home to the Gophers

I would think he lands in Minnesota.
He's from there and it sounds like Gable might be done with Gophers. Would he be eligible this year (January?)?

If the reports of Gable sitting on the bench in good spirits in street clothes during yesterday's match are true, it would seem 'reliable' rumors of him leaving, getting suspended or otherwise are both premature and would not have made it back to Kerk without it bordering on tampering.

I still think Kerk would have to be a very strong Minn lean, but that really does not make a lot of sense unless Gable is out.

I thought it was pretty well-established when Kerkvliet decommitted from John Smith, it was because he wanted to go to a program that could get him closest to his goal of Olympic gold. This board universally nodded in agreement that Snyder was a massive draw when he chose tOSU. Right now, there’s only one place where that seems most likely—maybe also Raleigh.... I recall it being reported that it was Cael that had originally convinced Greg to start looking elsewhere after spending time with him at the OTC.

I’m very excited to see what Nevills can do for us, but I’m also giving us better than 50-50 odds of landing this kid, even after factoring in non-wrestling reasons. #Homesick #CollegeIsExpensive #FamiliesSurpriseYou

One would have to think Oky state is off the board with a Ferrari in house. I think this is a two horse race between going back home (Gable other shoe to drop?) or the good guys.

I am sure Iowa State, Iowa and many others will throw the kitchen sink at him, but he would have never left tOSU if it were just about amenities, scholy, .....

PSU is so far beyond anyone in terms of upper weight wrestling partners, if his motivation is about being the best he can be it is the only choice.

Who knows maybe he is homesick and in that case the die is cast.

Iowa makes no sense with Cassiopi

All the seeming contenders for Kirkvliet appear to already have their HWT studs for NCAA competition - assuming GS is not leaving MN.
So other factors seem likely to determine his choice.

You could say the same thing for Penn State. Very good maybe an AA but not in the same league as Kerk.

Plus I think TnT would sell a grandchild to win another national championship
