Absolutely ridiculous post!
As a HR'ite, I am appalled that you would suggest that my glasses are "rose colored".

Hard passYou know you want a pair. $12.95 gets you these beauties!!!

PSU did have wrestling fans until 2009! one of my favorites.Ah, seeing the world through HR rose colored glasses. They bring everything into focus:
Bael is a cheating scumbag who pays recruits
Every PSU wrestler stalls continuously
Any PSU wrestler with a hint of muscular definition is on the juice
Gable not only was the greatest wrestler of all time, he also is the greatest coach of all time AND invented the sport of wrestling in all forms
Am I missing something???

I was shocked at the result, too. Didn't see Dake get teched, but I watched his previous match and noticed 2 things: 1) prior to the start when Dake was walking to the mat, he looked much smaller (and weaker) than he did when he wrestled Cenzo and Nolf, and 2) he looked absolutely fried when the match was over. At the time I discounted both, but with the benefit of hindsight I'd guess he was either sick, cutting too much weight, or some combo of both.I didn't want to start another thread, but I was hoping someone else saw what I thought was a step out by Dake's opponent, Kadimag of Belarus, before he bombed Dake for 6 pts in their match. If Dake's corner protested and it was a step out, would the 6 points come off the board? I'm not in tune with freestyle rules, as far as stepping out if you're forced or if you're in the process of an offensive move. It might not have mattered much because Kyle didn't seem focused on the task at hand. I'm still shocked at the outcome last night!
Could have been sunstroke, or maybe he has gotten so much younger he lost his man-strength?I was shocked at the result, too. I could not hold a conversation with someone who was wearing those. The lack of symmetry is making my eyes do funny things.Much prefer these...
Your pre-Olympic post above is almost prophetic. What’s the numbers on the next Mega Millions drawing?Dake’s defensive feel is otherworldly. His comfort level and success in the chest wrap and with guys on his legs make him so tough to get to. It’s super frustrating when you are rooting against him, but fascinating as a neutral observer. I’ve never seen Burroughs so tentative, you could tell that he didn’t like the feel he was getting even when getting to pretty good spots.
My only issue with Dake at worlds is that he can be pretty passive and content to win small. He’s good enough to win like that but with the wrong opponent and the wrong ref things can happen. Burroughs has been shown that with someone like Sidakov its best to put them fully away if possible.
There was one year Bigs was on a roll in the KYPSW contest. Any time I'd forget to make my picks or was just lazy about it I'd quickly copy and paste his to get them in on time. LmaoYour pre-Olympic post above is almost prophetic. What’s the numbers on the next Mega Millions drawing?
Dake's problem was obvious...junk sleep.Could have been sunstroke, or maybe he has gotten so much younger he lost his man-strength?
It was weird watching Dake wrestle when he lost. Dake was tied up with the other wrestler and over the years Dake has been so so strong that he has almost always won decisively in these situations but he sure did not this match. Who knows why but at least this night he did not appear to be at his peak as he was in trials when he dominated his opponents and over the years when he has been such a strong and tough wrestler. Curious if the 30 year old wrestlers like Dake and Taylor hang it up or stick with it 3 more years until next Olympics. Wrestling is demanding and the body must got beat up with lots of small injuries with the intense training. Plus, they are (at least Taylor, do not know Dakes family situation) married with kids and traveling to all the required competitions must be tough with having little kids at home.
I'm almost positive infinity that Dake will stick around for another 3 years since he has unfinished business. DT, ?
And please give me some paragraph breaks next time.
Apparently Pyles did an interview with Taylor after his gold, where pyles announced on Twitter that DT is committed to the 2024 OlympicsI'm almost positive infinity that Dake will stick around for another 3 years since he has unfinished business. DT, ?

Are you drunk?Excited to hear from PSU-Pride-93 that DT is committed to 24 Olympics. I hope he stays healthy which is really the key. Wrestling as well know is so grueling and hopefully he does well as he continues to represent PSU and USA so well-OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL WINNER DAVID TAYLOR-I bet David is sure not heard heard hearing that!
LOL EASTERN EUROPEAN REFS HAVE BEEN SCREWING THE USA FOR THE LAST 60 YRS KERRY MCCOY AND KOLAT JUST TO NAME A FEWWeren't there officials at the 2018 & 2019 World Championships where Dake DESTROYED the field, as did DT at the 2018 Worlds. Didn't see much bias from officials in any of those matches.
Then those refs are too old and need to retire.LOL EASTERN EUROPEAN REFS HAVE BEEN SCREWING THE USA FOR THE LAST 60 YRS KERRY MCCOY AND KOLAT JUST TO NAME A FEW
And leave their shoes on the mat, as John Smith said. Then those refs are too old and need to retire.
AS USUAL JUST STUPID RESPONSES!!And leave their shoes on the mat, as John Smith said.
Is your caps lock key stuck?AS USUAL JUST STUPID RESPONSES!!
This tullfan poster is losing it. Reminds me of that Uncle Fester guy, who also couldn’t keep it together. Is your caps lock key stuck?
There has been some smoke to it for a while. Brantt on 247 (plugged in guy) said it's just a matter of time. Adam Fellers said he expects it as well and obviously so does Mineo lol.Is Dake arriving at the NLWC in September? It’s the spot now...
I figured you were blind and wanted to help!!This tullfan poster is losing it. Reminds me of that Uncle Fester guy, who also couldn’t keep it together.
Jordon's follow-up comment was better - leave their whistles on the mat!And leave their shoes on the mat, as John Smith said.
He will be 33 then, a bunch of 86 kg wrestlers could just think they could beat someone that old. I don’t think you necessarily see transfers but who knowsDT has already said in an interview on Flo that he’s definitely going to wrestle in Paris 2024.
You’d think a bunch of US 86kg guys start finding different countries to wrestle for lol. We are stacked at that weight.
By then, Downey may have found a penal colony island to wrestle for.DT has already said in an interview on Flo that he’s definitely going to wrestle in Paris 2024.

Did he say something happened or it just seemed like he wanted to say something, but couldn't. Also, what documentary?Did anyone hear the flo interview with KD? Seemed something wasn't right and he isn't going to say until the documentary comes out. Also says he is in NY until Worlds
Well, he does have an onlyfans account, so, maybe sex island has a wrestling team...oh, you said penal colony, never mind😂By then, Downey may have found a penal colony island to wrestle for.
he alluded to something not being right, perhaps not having certain supplements (as he talked about security checks in airports) and even mentioned Doctor. Documentary has apparently been in the works since his college days and should be coming out this year... he wasn't positive if they should wait until after world's...Did he say something happened or it just seemed like he wanted to say something, but couldn't. Also, what documentary?
Yeah, maybe so. After seeing Kadzimahamedau vs Dake, I assumed the Belarussian would be the Gold Medal winner but he lost 7-0 to the Russian. Dake looked like himself in repechage and the Bronze Medal match.I thought Dake didn't look great in his opening match, but didn't view it as cause for concern b/c why not preserve yourself if you're going to wrestle again in under an hour. But it was how easily he lost that exchange in his second match to Kadzimahamedau that suggests he just wasn't the same wrestler we've seen. Dake doesn't lose exchanges at all anymore, much less that easily. I can't recall the last time I saw him give up an offensive point that he didn't mind giving up. His strength alone should have been sufficient to fight off that initial four. Maybe it was weight-cut related, but I doubt that--few wrestlers are as conscientious about their diet as Dake.
