Latest in Paterno v NCAA

Yea, to start with. If the Paterno vs NCAA Lawsuit goes forward it might become a stampede of rats abandoning ship. We can only hope.

That's mostly what I'm concerned about. From past experience, the media chooses only to sensationalize the story and leaves a good portion of the "facts" out of the narrative. A legendary head coach with a spotless record which they can drag down gets more clicks and sells more papers than the truth.

It's time to end this thread.

Trust me. Nobody wants these bastards more than me. But time is running out. Now Anthony is puckered up too. All of us can wait forever. But the rest of the world doesn't give a shit anymore. Just like the Duke rape case. Yeah I knew about it but I don't know the names and the inside info. That is what this is. Nobody ever knows or cares about it except us. So if Anthony has the info it's time to tell all.

I have done no such thing. But I am quiet presently for a reason. Make of it what you will.

This thread will eventually end, just not now. Especially not now.

I'm happy to see that A. L. chimed in. Perhaps it will stop some of the nonsense that has been taking root in this thread (my bad -- I hadn't looked at this thread in several weeks).

So if Anthony has the info it's time to tell all.

Right. He has access to the Freeh documentation, but under court order he can not disclose it. But "it's time to tell all" in your opinion. That would be the worst thing he could do if you really do want to get more pieces of the puzzle.

Anthony isn't giving anymore updates. It's over.

Some folks have so little patience, and leap to conclusions. FWIW, last summer Anthony cut back substantially on his posts on this board. That did not seem to impact his posting in the fall/winter/spring.

I think it's obvious that some sort of a deal was brokered. Absolutely no other conceivable reason Lubrano would have gone as he has.

Not even close to being factual.

Looking back on the past few pages, Zenophile's posts appear to be the ones that are closest to the correct path. (I'm excluding posts that weren't speculation, or dealt with issues other than the alumni-elected trustees.)

If there wasn't a deal Tom, then why the praise for Lubert and the sudden silence? He went from insinuating some pretty damning things about Lubert to praising him. What happened?

We don't know and perhaps we will never know the reason. I do know that Anthony and Franco have carried the ball with key blocks by Ray and yes even Zig. I am willing to have confidence that AL has not jumped ship, but needs to go in another direction at least temporarily. What's the big deal about waiting.......going on 5 years and progress has been slow. It's not like any of us are suffering like Tim, Gary and Graham.

Waiting for the truth is not the issue. Coming on here talking about Lubert and insinuating some pretty damning things through "hypotheticals" then praising him is a WWEesque turn of events. Without an apparent reason. Tom wants to say that's it's not some brokered deal. Fine. Then what is it? Because that is the only conceivable reason I can think of.

The excuse-making, and the creation of non-sequiturs (one after another) to defend the bullshit, is pathetic.

Desperate times breed such actions - and so it is not surprising, but pathetic nonetheless

We walk arm and arm with you however long this takes and wherever it leads .... Screw the outside world if they have moved on ... I know you told Joe you would get to the bottom of this so lead on...

Thank you! It was getting a little ridiculous on this thread because of restless native syndrome, I surmise. This is a chess game people, you have to wait until the other guy makes his move before you can make yours, and in the case of the A9, you have to have all your ducks in a row first, and pick your battles in the interim.

This "no personal jurisdiction because no assets or business in Pennsylvania" motion was entered long ago and the argument should be no surprise. Leete put it aside and said they would revisit it after the all the other issues were handled.

Looking forward to Leete's ruling on it. Some of his comments seem to indicate they might not get away with it. I want to see both the Corman v NCAA depos introduced if possible. Ray saying he never read the Freeh Report, just media reports and that Emmert was telling Erickson one thing and the Exec Comm another about the DP. All the evidence of the "image-conscious" Emmert overriding the advice of his infractions staff, etc. "Leveraging the moment" for PR purposes. "Like Shooting Road Kill", "All Hat No Cattle" etc. None of their decision-making even based on any sort of application of NCAA rules or even a realistic set of facts.

I feel a little bad for Ray because he's already come out and tried to apologize, but not that bad. If you are a responsible exec, you don't just fly by the seat of your pants using gossip and rumors in your decision-making.

"Restless native syndrome". Awesome! Is CR666 still "engaging" you on the inter webs?

I guess it depends on whether or not one expects (or hopes for) principled stewardship from the members of the PSU BOT, or if one might have other concerns that claim the top priority

I don't think any of us remain so naive that we don't recognize that

Alas

The other guy made his move. Right to the chairman's seat of the board. While we lauded him.

I don't feel sorry for that punk whatsoever.

This is the thread that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friend. Lubrano started posting it, not knowing what it was, and we'll continue posting it forever just because. Don't know if anyone has said it yet, but sooner or later you are going to have to accept that A9 is simply restricted from what they can share. I'm grateful when they do and also wish we could know everything with complete transparency , but right now we just can't.

Still don't understand, but even if disappointed, you have done more than anyone. I need to still trust

Please don't include the majority in your "we" category. I don't know many who have lauded Lubert, do you? We have yet to find out what Anthony actually meant because it happened in Exec Comm.
