Lee and Teasdale

Spyker do yourself a favor and push back away from the computer desk. Your going to lose your privileges again if Ur not careful.
Lol. Nice indirect comment to others dunk. Lmao....It's all good fellows we have the best Coach in the country and i am sure he will bring in a stud that in time will beat Spencer. We just have a much better program of winning right now. Good examples about Gillman and Clark. How many team titles ? 0. We will continue to stay on top. IN CAEL WE TRUST !!!!

CAL FOREVER!

ouch, that's a kick to the privates.

I'm more surprised by Teasdale's decision. Lee I hoped would opt for PSU, and it appears that it went back and forth, but unfortunately he picked the Hawkeyes.

congrats to Iowa. they came into PA and bested us for 2 guys that we legitimately would have liked on PSU's team.

they're both PA wrestlers, so I will root for them in their college careers, except when they wrestle a PSU wrestler.

Funny how things work out. I remember arguing with NJWC over on themat about who was better, Suriano or Lee. It was just after Lee lost a tight one.Being from PA, I was of course stating my case for Lee. It now appears I could quite possibly be rooting for Suriano to put a whooping on Spencer. Never would have thunk that... Lol

Good luck to both but make no mistake there is no one coming here in those classes in lightweights that compares to Lee and Teasdale. Courtney is Cornell bound. Unfortunate but good for competitive team status in future. Trouble is when you go all in on specific individuals, the "back up plans" like being priority 1 elsewhere.

Iowa hired CP to stop Willie's recruiting. Better watch out Willie, CP's coming after you're Recruiter of the Year award. Lol.

I'm a little disappointed, but overall this is good for the sport. Not too concerned for us. Iowa needs Spencer Lee more than Penn State needs him. I trust in our coaching staff until I'm proven wrong. Over the last seven years I've seen so many of our wrestlers show so much improvement. Not just our top guys either. Vollrath, English, Conaway, Gino just to name a few. Wrestlers who showed a lot of development from hard work and great coaching. Cael and company recruits a very specific type of athlete that's fits the mold of what they want a Penn State wrestler to be and I'm sure they'll find the depth they'll need. WE ARE.....

Tom - Spence and Teasdale are super close friends. I bet Spence told them you have to offer Gavin....I would bet a lot of money on it and i don't gamble....

Yes, of course we will be fine. But if the world domination plan is to keep the best PA wrestlers in PA, we are failing in that regard.

Good thing it's not the plan then...

I do think Spyker has a point with Iowa taking both Lee and Teasdale. PSU is very young and has limited scholarships. You'd think PSU would find a way, but maybe they said they could only take one or the other. Congrats to both. Does anyone know the plan for Mark Hall? Is he coming in and redshirting? Is he delaying his enrollment, then redshirt or is there a chance we see him at 165 as a true freshman? Thanks.

Spencer Lee will do great no matter which school he decided to attend. He could've committed to Michigan State, Bloomsburg, Buffalo, etc. and his results will be the same.

The Penn State train doesn't stop for any one or two individuals.
That is why WE ARE PENN STATE!

"And I will be rooting for Lee and Teasdale just as hard as I root for Marstellar."

Same here which is not at all.

That was my point. I don't know if it was Iowa's exciting wrestling style under Brands
or Ramos's calling Brands a "back stabber" that induced them to pull the trigger for Iowa.
If this sounds like sour grapes, it is.

No chance Cael planned to take only 1 of them, other than contingency planning. Guys at that level don't grow on trees.

tough breaks there. We don't miss often, but this one is probably the biggest miss so far in the Cael era. Hurts to lose this one, but it certainly puts Iowa solidly into the #2 spot for Lee's first season, ahead of Ohio State.

OK, I have to pose this question considering PSU just lost two elite PA kids to Iowa. What strategy is in place to combat the Iowa Young Guns Club located in PA which seemingly exists to funnel wrestlers to Iowa? The "Jody" this and "Jody" that talk is just troublesome to me. Anyone want to tackle this tricky situation and explain it?

Major coupe for Iowa. Those are the blue chip studs that you win championships with.

Umm ... would have to go weight-by-weight thru their lineups, but seriously doubt Iowa is ahead of Ohio State in Lee's first year, let alone solidly ahead.

Nico, Gulibon, Nolf, Cenzo, and McCutcheon all are Young Guns.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Teasdale can't actually sign any commitment for 18 more months, correct?
I haven't followed this as closely as some, but obviously it's a package deal of sorts?
Besides Teasdale, are there other 2018 top prospects who have committed already?

Actually I just thought about it and you are right. I stand corrected. I think it makes Iowa much better though. Kinda hard to disagree with that.
