LIVE THREAD: Penn State vs. Lehigh (Sunday, Dec. 5th, 2 PM)

Starocci then works his way on top in a scramble to make it 4-1. Angel Rivera really, really having a rough day today.

The Negron 2 was pretty 50-50, but I'm absolutely floored as to how Bartlett wasn't given an escape. Also have no clue why they stalemated Bartlett with a bar in to end the second period,
Because Rivera sucks.

The Negron two was a 50-50 until his knees hit the mat with him to the side in control of the leg and hips, and for several seconds.

What is Negron’s eligibility? I’d assume he’s a redshirt Sophomore.

Wood apparently went the opposite direction of most HWTs and gained weight this year.

Starocci with an escape and then a snap down to a go behind to make it 7-1. Logan doing a whole lot of nothing.

Logan finally hit for stalling, Starocci gives the escape and then gets behind for 2 more. End 2: Starocci 9, Logan 2 with 2:17 of RT.

Wood is 275 ish

not the answer I was hoping for.

Starocci takes it 13-3 with 3:34 of riding time. Can't blame kids for wrestling not to get bonused if the ref isn't going to make them actively wrestle.

All right Ball. Wrestle like you did on Friday!

Penn State leads 13-10 headed into the last three bouts. Have to think they need to take 2 of 3 with bonus likely coming for Lehigh at 285.

184: Ball and Burkhart.

Ball was the far more accomplished of these two in PA HS, we'll see if that translates at all.

Hope we take 184 but 6 at 197 will help a lot if we don’t.

Burkhart up and out to tie it early in the second but a low double for Ball makes it 4-2 and now he's got Burkhart broken down on the edge. Out of bounds with 48 seconds RT.

Lehigh looking pretty good to win this dual with the advantage at 184 and 285.
Gonna disagree with Lehigh having an advantage at 184. Burkhart was a 157 backup until this year. Suddenly he moved up 3 weights? More likely he got beaten out for 174 by Logan. That plus his college record has been unimpressive even as a backup, and Ball had a better HS career.

Ball in on a single but can't finish to end the period, leads 4-3 headed to the third.

Ball up to his feet but gets returned almost to his back and Burkhart is now riding double boots.

Burkhart taking what I believe is concussion time. May have hit his head on the floor after they went off the edge.

It's BTN minus (not plus) because you miss all the important action with their dis/connection
