Lots of rumors in CLE that the Browns are going to try and convince Allar to leave

Drew grew up watching the Browns destroy one first round QB after another...
If the coaches are not the same, then does that really matter? Is there something about the organization, beyond the coaching, that could account for that?

Raiders don't scare me as much now with Bowers. Whomever goes there has an elite TE for probably a decade. Well see who they hire as GM/HC though.
It's more this guy. He's related to Al Davis and he has a bowl cut. They'll find a way to screw it up

Just like he was a lock to declare for the draft?
There is no chance that Allar wouldn't go in the first round. Far less talented QBs have gone in the top 10 and he's only raised his value in the last two games against pretty good talent. He's tall, got a big arm, very good touch, he's very mobile for his height, and he's shown big improvement in his reads and progressions, and he only turns 21 in March. Even if you think he needs a year on the bench with an NFL quarterback coach, he's a first round pick.

Take his ass, Browns always draft good Quarterbacks. Probably the worst game of Drew’s career tonight

and they'll take him as the overall #2 pick. Obviously, it is difficult to get athletes to stay in CLE for lots of reasons. A hometown kid, like Kosar, is ideal. The idea is that the Browns still want Watson to play for a year or two while they groom a kid for the future...

Just a rumor.
Although Allar grew up only about 25 miles from Cleveland he should not put himself into a position to be drafted by the Browns. The Browns have started 40 QB's since 1999. The Browns kill QB careers.

After a couple years away I jumped back in tonight. Been saying it for 3 years now. He’s Hackenburg 2.0. Been QB coached for 10 years, doesn’t have the “it” factor.

Worst yet, we have to endure this for a whole other year. He has no chance of ever being a good NFL QB. He’s not even close to Daniel Jones. Great kid, plays it safe, can’t make the big throw. Only true big throw he’s made in 3 years was against Oregon.

Maybe Beau isn’t better, but we need to turn the page. But it won’t be til 2026.

Allar threw for 135yds tonight - no team in the NFL wants him
I watched the entire game with an outsider's point of view. Penn State's passing problem seems obvious. Their entire receiving core consists of a TE (a great one). That won't get it done.

I recommend a few more years away for you. The kid is going to get FU money as a first round draft pick in a little over a year from now.

Does bring up a good point though. This will only raise the value of rookie contracts.

Eventually (doubtful) someone will get priced out.

Thoughts?

Correct
There's was bad tonight if you're a scout watching. He missed too many throws early in the game. The lack of weapons is a huge problem. With Warren going to the NFL there's still no logic in him coming back
Milroe is probably a first round pick. Same with Allar. There's talent there. Drew would be best to sit for a year in the NFL. Staying here does him no good.

BS... same old thing, Allar is an excitable boy and cannot control his adrenaline flow in big games, which causes him to overthrow. SOLVE THAT PROBLEM and he can be a great quarterback. imo
Last year all people did was bitch that he didn't show emotion. Now he shows too much

First round??

I hope he goes - time to move on. He essentially lost the game for PSU. Missed Singleton badly early on for what should have been a TD. Then, ball in hand with a chance to win the game he throws a pick. Adios.

Singleton could have caught that
It was his fault we gave up 24 points?

You are absolutely right, he will. Because QBs are so overvalued. But he’s not any good. Great kid, slightly above average college QB.
Yeah he’s not any good. Can you believe Cal Ripken once struck out three time and made an error in the same game? He wasn’t any good either.
