Some interesting goings on yesterday:
First, Nebraska landed Beau Breske from Wisconsin. Not sure if this reflects Hall's status in Lincoln or not -- does Manning view Breske as complementary to Hall, or is Hall out for them, or was Breske a priority regardless? There is potential overlap in Lincoln with Hall, Breske, and Dudley at 174/184.
Speaking of overlap: yesterday Kyle Snyder told Flo he will most likely go HWT when he returns. Gotta wonder what this means for Thomas Haines. Plus Ohio State now thought to be pushing for Sammy Colbray to backfill 197.

Both of Lehigh's heavies are seniors, and Bethlehem is under 2 hrs from Quarryville. Haines also liked Cornell and Lock Haven. Lots of other possibilities closer to home than Stilly.

I'll bite. I don't have many connections with the program, but the one I do have has told me that no, that was definitely NOT the reason he went to OSU. I wouldn't be dumb enough to say why on here, but it wasn't because of Thomas Haines. Well, at least from what I was told from somebody who would know for sure.
Your right, it was the treatment of me over here and Amalone that Chance Marsteller went to OSU. As for Haines, if he is healthy would look good in Black and Orange! I'm just lurking in the back ground waiting my time. As for Chance in the room, came in at 163 start of school year. Looks like a different wrestler from last year (in a good way). Working hard in the room, and not showing any fatigue when he's is wrestling hard. Last year was tough on Chance, a lot of growing up. Proud of him, I'm sure he has Haines phone # since they are good friends and future team members! Thomas will never come back here, if you think that then you forgot how that all played out.
We have someone demonstrably better than Haines - who cares.
And our guy has a younger brother who went undefeated as a Freshman upper-weight in 1 class California who wants to come here.
I don't care where Haines goes as long as it isn't PSU. If Snyder does go to heavyweight, we need a wrestler that can beat him. Haines, NEVER got close to beating Snyder in his career.

I can't allow myself to believe it until it happens but I remember reading somewhere that Hall changed his announcement date on Flo and it happens to be the same day as PSU Media Day....anybody know if that is True? Not that it means he is going to PSU but another thing to make you go HMMMM?
Hall changed his announcement from Oct (was going to be this week) to 11/11. Things that take place on 11/11:
- Hall makes his announcement
- PSU wrestling holds their Media Day
- 1st day of the early signing period for wrestling
- it's Veterans Day, which is a big deal for Mark and his family
It is true but matters only if both Hall signs that day and PSU receives his National Letter of Intent before PSU Media Day. Coaches can't comment on verbals, only signees. And Cael won't comment on other schools' recruits even if permissible..
