Micah

Micah's having a great year. If he stays humble and keeps working, he will be a force of nature next year. Came close to a career-defining play today.

I didn’t notice so much today but from past games, he still needs to learn how to take on a block and disengage from it.

Spot on, as does Brooks and Brown. And they need to stop picking sides and opening big holes. Probably a result of not being able to disenage. #12 looks much better at it already.
Makes me long for the days of instinctual LB play, like Poz, Conner, Lee, etc. Parsons may get there, and certainly has the big play ability that Poz had.

They were great LBs that played behind very good DLs. This DL does not compare to those DLs. Linebackers that don't have to disengage from as many blocks are always better. With the way O holding is(n't) called, it sometimes isn't easy to disengage from the "block." Witness Ellis Brooks trying to disengage from a "block" near the goal line yesterday.

I thought Parsons looked good today and all year. And Brandon Smith looks like he is going to be a force as well.

Smith will be excellent if he is ever taught to wrap up on a tackle vs laying the wood. His ability to get to the ball is excellent. He just doesn't finish.

Parsons could have been our Young, but we had pressing needs at LB. If he's staying all four years (as he answered on social media), it's a move worth considering. He has a lot of skill coming off the edge.

Parsons is gone after next year all the way, he has a kid to support.

He’s the next great player that this board is going to spend the majority of his career at PSU complaining about
