on Friday Flo did a breakdown of RBY VS Desanto. match if it were to happen, at the end of the clip they stated that they did not think that Micic would wrestle past the quarters...so looks like this was a planned move...sorry I cant find the clip to post link

I wasn’t paying much attention to Smith’s match - either Joseph or Hall was wrestling at the same time - but I believe Covaciu suffered some sort of leg injury during the match. He was able to walk off the mat under his own power, though he did have a noticeable limp.

Micic made the national finals last year and wasn't he #1 seed. Why would he care about the #1 seed now?

Funny thing about this. You all know I’m on record about how vital correct seeding is but it really doesn’t matter to the top guys. At all.

It’s shouldnt matter to the rest but it really does, and the most harm is done to the guys fighting thru the backside when high seeds unnaturally end up in front of them.

The committees end up in a very difficult spot when this happens.

I was there. Smith threw the guy and he was injured. Didn't look real bad, however the guy mffed. I believe that it was late in the third period.
