First, fabulous game by the entire Penn State team and the coaches! Outstanding job!

I did not expect a win, as I said here a few times, but I did hope for the team to put up a fight and felt it entirely plausible that they would.

They not only put up a fight, the shocked the nation. There is a simple reason the Nittany Lions won this game and it can be summarized in one word: DESIRE! From my vantage point, Penn State just played harder than the Buckeyes, which is a big compliment because the Buckeyes played hard too.

But Penn State wanted it more. Our guys won just about every jump ball on both offense and defense. Our receivers made the plays and our DBs stopped theirs. The OSU receivers were a total non-factor, whereas our guys made HUGE catches. Those jump balls are not luck. They are part of the design of our passing game. We've recruited tall lanky receivers to catch exactly these kind of balls. And they did. You see it in the NFL all the time.

The d-line that we saw get raked by Pitt and Michigan, has grown up fast! They played a whale of a game! Every single one of them. That group is already pretty good, but they are going to be murder on teams the next couple of seasons. And what about Cabinda and Bell! The games of their careers! They were the leaders out there and played with total confidence. Great job by them.

And oh yeah, lest I forget, FRANKLIN OUT-COACHED URBAN MEYER!!! The coaching staff was better prepared for this game than the Buckeyes staff was. And I think we have the makings of a great OC and DC in Moorhead and Pry. The hot seat bullshit is just that, BULLSHIT! It never should have even been an issue because this team and staff needed a goodly amount of time to get things on the right track, and the secret is Saban and Meyer in that position would have as well!!! Start supporting our coach from here on out if you want what's best for this program!!!

And lastly, anyone with discernment and attention could see that after Mich., this team started to turn a corner. They fought back to grab the Minny game and totally dominated a Maryland team that just spanked Michigan State, a team not playing well, but that many here were declaring an "elite" program early in the year.

But, and I speak to you kjb in particular, if someone really has watched sports for 46 years as I have and paid attention, you see lots of instances where that "spark" for a building team gets ignited and the lightbulb goes on. It's discernible and palpable. It happened with the Minny win and the MD clobbering.

I don't know how old you are kjb, or how long YOU have watched sports. If it's as long as me than you need to watch far more closely than you have, but if it's a much shorter period in time, then learn to respect the wisdom of your elders.
