120 points to win and PSU will get there with seven wrestlers scoring.

125 0 (not confident)
133 0
141 0 (not confident)
149 25 (1st)
157 25 (1st)
165 15 (3rd)
174 15 (3rd)
184 15 (3rd)
197 10 (6th)
285 15 (3rd)

It will take as another stellar performance by someone to beat them. Anything from the lower weights will be gravy, at this point.

Wrong.

Oklahoma State has 10 scoring wrestlers, while Ohio State will have 8. They'll get bonus also.

Bo isn't getting to finals and only scoring 2 or 3 pts bonus? I'll pound the over

Wrong.

His numbers add up accurately and he's even being conservative at 141 & 184.

Nevills may take 4th, but he's been a pinning machine lately.

Oh. And we'll bonus too !! Duh !!

Do you have the ability to even present a single fact or mathematical analysis for any of the garbage you post?

They probably haven't taught you that in junior high yet.

Does your mommy know you are on her iPad again ?

Such a little girl you are, lmao.

Joseph is certainly talented enough to place 3rd... but man it will be tough.

Wrong.

And if Ok St's 10 guys average 11.5 points each, they don't reach 120. Yes, 10 scoring wrestlers is nice, but if 4 score the equivalent of 1 of our scorers, it's now 6 v 6. It's the qualitative aspect that you're giving short shrift to.

Oki State might not have a single champ. 141 is the best shot but I think he goes down

Heil is the king of winning 1-point matches. Even if he wins, he isn't going to ring up any bonus. Given the likely placement of the Poke's wrestlers and their overall lack of bonus, Okie State is not likely to eclipse 115 max.

120 points is the average for the winners over the last 5 years with only PSU hitting that number. High over those five years was a 143 and low was 102. Second place has a high of 119.5 and a low of 84. Average for second has been 105.

And if Okie State does max-out in the 110-115 area, it likely means that daO$U is only going to score in the 90-100 range.

Wait a minute. You mean in this tournament you can't just compare Penn State to Ohio State or Penn State to Oklahoma State? You mean the talent gets spread out because there are 33 wrestlers per bracket, instead of only 14, which means more bonus points for bonus machines like Penn State? And then, when the talent goes further along in the tournament, teams start to split points?

Huh. Who knew?

Conjecture, innuendo, opinion, guesswork, surmise, think, speculate, whatever. If anyone here KNOWS the number of points each of, let's say, the top-5 teams will score, in order...even get within 5 or 10 or so, have at it. And if you're that good, I suggest taking a crack at the lottery.

Seriously, I'm going to St. Louis to watch some outstanding wrestling...us and the other guys. I'll only be wearing Blue and White for the 5 days we're gone. I'm planning on cheering hard for anyone in PSU colors, and will empathize with those that suffer a loss, and delight in their victories. If, at the end of the day, they're on top, I'll delight in that too. Then, the day following all this, which is Sunday, I'll give praise and watch the sun come up...just like any other day.

perspective roar, perspective. I guess you're not one of those on the sidelines changing 'death to the ref' :)

Hardly. This is one big barrel of fun for me. Win or lose, it's a game that takes us all on somewhat of a roller coaster ride, me included...but at the end, it's just that...a game...and I'll be fine with whatever happens. Try to stay positive, real positive, as there's so much negativity...and my story is such that I have much to be grateful for.

Well, we can look historically at what has happened when 4 or more teams likely have 5 or more AAs. Typically, the winning team will score in the 120-130 with a cluster of teams around 100 points OR the winning team scores in the 120-130 range, another team scores 15-20 points back and then separation to like 90. The team with the most firepower at the top, and the proven ability to generate the most bonus, has generally separated itself from either "the pack" or the the 2nd place team who has also separated itself with its "top-end" firepower.

If PSU's team-scoring holds to form as it has over the past several years (last year being a good example generating 123 points with 6 AAs, 5 Finalists, 2 Champs and lots of "team bonus scoring"), PSU can win this thing with or without 125, but is a prohibitive favorite if Nick is able to wrestle near potential (which obviously we won't know until we see him on the mat).

Missed my entire point. Get all that, I can be pretty left-brained myself...just pointing out there's an enjoyment factor in all of this...

Lottery numbers!!!FOR SURE WINNERS!!!! 9,16,41,32,18,22. You heard it here first.

Well claiming daO$U is a "lock" for 4 finalists is pretty silly imho especially when their best wrestler did not even look like a "mortal lock" in winning his B1G Championship match 7-5. Medbery showed some chinks in Snyder's armor at HWT - Medbery took Snyder down pretty easy late in the 3rd due to his size differential wearing on Snyder (Snyder was able to "reel-in" all his leg shots earlier in the match.....was not even close late in the 3rd, Medbery easily sprawled away, stuffed Snyder's head and spun-around for the easy 2). Snyder would be unbeatable @ 197, but he has chosen to wrestle HWT so he can also wrestle 98 kg Freestyle Internationally simultaneously (i.e., approx. 216 lbs). Snyder is not nearly the wrestler @ HWT that he is at 98 kg (i.e., he is far more beatable at HWT). Medbery only lost 7-5 in the B1G Championship match and in no way, shape or form was "dominated" by Snyder - in fact, if he can figure out a way to keep it closer going into the 3rd Period, I think he showed that Snyder is beatable.

That was harsh, accurate, but harsh.

I'm not critical of anyone's dreams or math solving skills ...
A combination of all these posts are probably accurate!

In some order we will see the following next week,

1. PSU

1. Ok State

1. tOSU

Who wins it? I don't know, I am wishing for our 6th title in 7 years!
