New Year's Day CFP games.

Every player in the NFL can...that doesn't mean they need to go back to college
He's NFL-ready today. This QB class is weaker than next year. He's losing his top weapon and hasn't gained any of value. There no benefit to his development to return.
He could just mature as a person. He's really young to be going to the NFL next year where he could be seen as the savior and be thrown to the wolves.

This year he improved physically and using his legs when needed. Next year I suspect that he will work on processing the information faster, making earlier throws. They will work on being consistent with his footwork to improve accuracy. He did step up quite a bit this year....I expect the same next year.
One thing that has been huge for us is his running ability. He has made a number of clutch plays with his legs. Something tells me though that against NFL defenses that won't work nearly as well.

That's the part of his improvement that NFL people will love most/2nd most. He has turned should-be sacks and incompletions into positive yards. Sure, a lot of them will go for less yards than he's gaining on college defenses, but the fact remains he is showing awareness and escapability.

And that doesn't alter his draft stock
Nothing indicates he lacks maturity
It's not a he has maturity / he doesn't have maturity issue. People go through a maturation process and IMO he could use more maturation as a player as a leader as a person, especially when you're going to be playing against people 5, 7, 9 years old than you.

But he's a phenomenal leader--see how the teams responds to him, see how he doesn't complain at all about an offense not suited to his strengths. Last year, everyone wanted to see passion--now they have that and what are we looking for now?
Allar is NFL ready by all accounts--if he wants to return simply because he likes being a student that's great--it doesn't mean it's not a mistake (2nd contract league) but it's his choice.
The best move for Allar, given this draft class and next year's, is to go to the NFL. I think AK and James are being selfish IF (big IF) they're telling him to return.

And yet another thread taken over by the narcissist. There's at least 20 pages in other threads arguing Allar's decision to go pro. What's another 10?
But people engage him. You get a good thread going and people post about him or even directly invite him to comment? Why?

Might it be you who jumped to conclusions?
I posted that when they create a QB who’s perfect every game to let me know and you said they already have, so I’m trying to figure out who that is.

Sounds like you might need to try harder.

Remember when TN struggled to beat the teams ranked #12 and #16 to reach the semifinals while PSU bested the spread and beat the teams ranked #9 and #10 and everyone cried about PSU’s easy path?

To be fair, Clemson beat SMU on a neutral site and Boise State is a G5 team
We were way more impressive in getting to the semis but did anyone say Texas didn't have an easy path?
We had the easiest--but they were right there with us

I think they need to simplify some of these rules that cover how many players are on the line of scrimmage, covering linemen, etc. I am not saying they all need to go, but what the ones they currently have in place appear to be a bit of overkill and often do not have any real impact on the play.

Well, it looks like the 5, 6, 7, and 8 seeds will advance to the final four. I wonder if that has ever happened in sports. It surely suggests that something is awry with the current system.

I mean, it's kind of like all the 2 seed making a final four in March Madness
This simply reinforces that it's a 2 conference league plus ND

The top 4 seeds had too much time off and lost their edge. Oregon looked like their team opted out. Georgia was non competitive and it wasn't just because Beck was out. Boise played tough for a half. ASU actually played a really good game.

I will note that the vaunted SEC only has 1 team left. Who is a newbie from the B12.

I don't believe that
Ohio State is the best team in the country
Georgia had a QB making his first start
Boise nor ASU were the better team
The time off wasn't a negative--there were other issues. Talent and injuries
