Mrs. Hockeygod would string me up if I left her home.. Roar can attest... she is a "fan"atic to the fullest extent.. She is hitting her first B1Gs this year but nationals with Roar, Nova, Tikk, pa, and several others is a yearly event for the Hockeygod crew... Scrambling for tickets this year made it a bit of a near miss but I think we are good to go now..

Mrs. JA1339 has shown little or no interest in wrestling. But she did watch the PSU-tOSU dual on tv. Her interest may have been because I hyped the match for weeks or perhaps she thought she'd see me on tv.

When I got home she couldn't stop talking about the Cassar-Moore match. Not sure if she's hooked or just took a shining to Anthony :)

Edit: She was a bit bummed when I told her Anthony won't be the starter in the post season. Think her interest may be waning now...

Hahahahaha, man, do you sit in WJ for football? My brothers and I still laugh about the people we sat near when we were kids. I swear I remember that Cuse game from the 70s like it was yesterday--because the woman behind us said over and over and over: "There he is--get him!"

Great story!!

Best I have is Mrs. Roar...from total disinterest, to somewhat interested, to going to duals and reading a book, to learning the scoring, to sitting through a dual without a book, to learning the scoring better, to attending a tournament (Keystone Classic), to screaming at the ref (just kidding), to going to NCAA's this year for the first time...all in the span of 34 years :):).

And it passed so quickly it only felt like 33 years (and 11 months). :D Mrs. Lobo is only in the "somewhat interested" stage, so I still have some work to do.

I met a Dad of a wrestler about 4 years ago when our boys were on the same team. Our boys were never partners cause he was like 15 pounds heavier. But during live when kids always switched partners my younger son would beat him pretty good all the time. The dad would occasionally bring his boy to our gym to get side help for his boy the next 3 years. His son just not a hard worker and just likes to screw around. But I still did my best to help him a little the times he came over. We are no longer teammates but still friends.

His son has had a losing record all the years when we were there. This year he has stepped it up a bit and has had his first winning season. His dad took him to the PSU-Iowa dual, his first college match ever, and he said you would not believe what it has done to his desire on the mat. He said even though he was having his best year, after seeing that dual his boy is now hooked and really wants to get better.

I just It was pretty cool how one match can change your perspective on wrestling. All the years I knew his kid he just seemed going through the motions. Now after seeing those PSU kids light up the crowd has inspired him.

Zain is Mrs PSUPaul's favorite, probably more so than Mr PSUPaul.....

Mrs. Whamos is also a bit smitten with Zain despite being several inches taller. I have a good handle on how much taller because I catch her gazing at the picture of them from the social last year probably a bit more than is healthy....

But for real, she's into it, the kids are into it, and non-critical weekend plans are scheduled around the wrestling. I'm quite lucky. And will be in Cleveland for Natties again this year by hook or by crook.
