We have some very talented new players to watch for with many redshirt and true freshmen playing for starting roles. I believe our running game should improve significantly with all the "true" RB's in our line up now. The OL will be difficult to evaluate in this game as QB's will be protected against physical contact. I still have huge concern over our OL, as I am not sure that 1 additional year of experience from our worse 3 OLmen compensates for the loss of our 2 best OLmen. The other 2 new starters will have little to no experience at PSU. Also, losing the key MLB to graduation leaves a huge void to fill in the middle of our Defense. I do expect a significant upgrade in almost all other positions with 2nd team strength as well. Our punting game will probably still suck, and that is very disappointing. Can't we find a decent punter? Having said all that, look for Hack to throw for over 200 yards to some pretty impressive WR's and TE's! This is where the greatest level of excitement exists for the upcoming season. I see Hack having a Heisman-type season coming, assuming the OL really does improve!

The main thing, obviously, is how the offensive line plays. It was evident within the first five minutes of last year's Blue-White Game that PSU had serious issues on the offensive line. Hackenberg struggled in limited action. We were all hoping to see great throws from Hackenberg that day, and it didn't happen. At the time, many of us hoped it was just one of those things where the offense was behind the defense and that things would get corrected by August. That, of course, didn't happen. Hopefully things will be different this year.
