NFL Draft thread, all teams / "fans" welcome....

Agreed--they did everything wrong
Prime rambled nonsense that their were teams he wouldn't let Jr play for
Jr was cocky (not confident) in every interview he had
Allegedly his interviewed poorly--no different than any other job--your potential future boss isn't going to hire you if they don't think they can work with you

We all know how this would have gone. Just like when Jr fell out of the first round and Prime rambled about how it wasn't right he'd be doing the same thing when his kid lost a starting job to Fields, Flacco (who Prime as bashed), Rudolph/Rodgers, etc. You want a kid that's going to come in and wants to compete--he doesn't. He expects things to be handed to him.

He doesn't help that his dad has been his coach for his entire college career.

There's red flag all over the place and that's before we start talking about his competition level and lack of arm strength.

Selfishly, I'm glad Allar came back but i'm 100% convinced he'd have gone to the Saints at 9 or the Giants would have traded back in for him. Hopefully he has a great year and doesn't regret that decision.
Not sure why Cleveland took him. A headache they could have avoided.

I REALLY wish Kobe would have stayed another year. He could have slimmed down and worked on his coverage skills to become a more complete LBer at the next level, while being a leader of this defensive unit.

Kobe witnessed first hand with Kalen that returning doesn't always help
Kobe was never going to be good in coverage--he's a two-down LB

Will Howard to Steelers.

Development QB?
He's not really a developmental guy--that would be taking Ewers IMO but I guess it depends on how you view "development"
They likely see him as NFL ready and should compete with Mason to be the primary backup

Kalen King is a great example of why the 3 years out of HS rule hurts some kids. Granted, it could have been just rag mag hype, but King is likely no worse than a 2nd rd pick after his Sophomore year.

See Johnson, Will. As well. Another 1st rd guy a year ago if he could have left.

Cleveland has a history of not recognizing red flags. One would think that they would have learned with Beckham, then Watson. Obviously not.

No doubt somebody is gonna be traded, if not, cut. You know they only keep 3 QBs and Flacco is a lock to start. Can they afford to cut Watson and be responsible for some of his salary? Will they keep one of the rookies for the practice squad?

They must have 6 QB’s now!!! Their whole payroll will be QB’s and the DE that pulled Rudolf’s helmet off! And they’ll have prime causing a social media circus. It should be a fun season even if the Steelers tank!

The Browns do fulfill a role in the NFL. They show the other 31 teams what not to do.

grammer police, and no actual rebuttal....you're the perfect embodiment of soft people who post online....
So, then ... not having the ability to spell basic words, and saying insane things that no one needs to take seriously is the perfect embodiment of hard people? That's your story, and you're sticking to it? BTW, it's "grammar." And no one with any sense will do anything but laugh at your sad, desperate, blame-placing agenda pushing, which is the definition of "soft."

and still no substance, you truly are the "karen" of this board..anybody who has watched espn for more than ten years is acutely aware of it's veer to the left, it's embrace of "social justice" and it's transformation from a sports and entertainment platform into a megaphone for spewing dogmatic propaganda..you're soft because my words upset you, you no doubt are somebody who thinks words are "violence"..in urban parlance, you're "bitch made"..

I thought the eagles mostly had a good day 3. Ty Robinson is a beast. Getting Cam Williams in round 6 is grand larceny. He can be developed by Stoutland into a starting tackle. His faults are correctable. We also took a OT from Michigan that is just a mountain of a man. I also loved the Smael Mondon pick - keep that Bulldog pipeline open!

I’m not sure I understand our CB pick - there were plenty of better options on the board, IMO. I remain concerned for our CB2 position.

I’m shocked Jared Ivey from Ole Miss and Cobee Bryant from Kansas went undrafted. I wanted the Birds to take both players.

I give this Eagles draft a C+. I think Howie got out hustled and I’m starting to hear that some teams may not even be taking his calls. We had so much draft capital and to not move up to get a guy we liked other than 1 spot in the first is pretty disappointing. If we didn’t like this draft, fine. Trade some 2025 picks for 2026.

K Lambert Smith drafted in fifth round by Chargers. Pretty low pick for a guy with sub 4.4 speed and 6’ 1”

Methinks he would have been better off at PSU. With Coach K’s offense he would have had good numbers and had a CCG and a couple playoff games.

As weak as our receivers were he would have been featured. And who knows, with him we may have beat the domers and played the suckeyes in the title game🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m not the one who is upset … you’re the nancy who is sitting there crying that folks at a tv network are conspiring against you, apparently based off the fact they give a crap about other types of people that are the basis for their existence as a network.

If they decide to broadcast cross-burning competitions, eventually they’ll have backstories on the participants, too. And you can finally be happy and less insecure.

Ohio State with 14 players drafted. Their focus on sticking together for the 2024 season paid off.

Now Penn State may have the experienced nucleus to make a run at the National Championship. Too bad Abdul Carter and Kevin Winston won't be part of it.
We have a chance for sure. The offense should be very good, possibly great if the WR room has real improvement. There are real star potential players on Defense, although depth is an issue at linebacker and DTackle.

Sanders doesn’t fit the offense. Kudos to the ravens for changing to suit their QB but they were a running team and protected his lack of passing until he matured.

Sanders was just too valuable to pass over at that point. Everyone thought he’d be drafted in the first round. By the third round nobody wanted to be that guy. I like the pick. Why not? Jess a head case but a great athlete with a great blood line. If he doesn’t work out, cut him. No downside

I don't believe that.

No such thing as high output and low cost. But there are many great WR's that make big $, are happy, and just play football. That's exactly what I believe the Steelers will get from DJ Metcalf.

I'd love it if some how the Steelers could get a draft choice for Pickens that could somehow be used or upgraded to get Egbuka to replace Pickens. Egbuka in his interviews seems like just the opposite of Pickens in attitude and will likely be a very good high output low maintenance WR for the next 6-8 years.
Metcalf had issues in Seattle.

Sanders was so valuable, nobody else wanted him. Poor Shedeur.

if his name was shadeur jones, this wouldn't be an issue..he was a very good college qb whose coach taylored the offense around him, as a pro, his ceiling is not very high...he should get a shot in cleveland because the other options aren't good, but he probably will be revealed as an overhyped narrative driven marketing gimmick..
