a) This is football board.
b) I don't think that many people watch the WS other than fans of those teams.
c) I have not watched one baseball game from start to finish this year and will not watch one second of the WS. Other than soccer, I find it to be the most boring sport.

And yet you're here posting about baseball.

my bad for not starting one. I watched a good portion of Game 1. The Dodgers offense did better than I expected, but the Red Sox had too much offense, defense, and pitching, and took Game 1. Kershaw continues to struggle as a SP in the playoffs.

Why open this thread then?

Well, to be fait, this is a college football board centered around PA and we have baseball trams from Boston and LA playing in the world series.

How can Roberts not have Bellinger and/or Muncy in the lineup? Hernandez is 3 for 31 in the postseason.

Baseball is actually in a good position. In another 10 years when we're watching flag football, baseball will seem like full contact. Plus many of the best athletes should return to the sport once the CTE SHTF.

They just showed a crazy stat

The dodgers have 4 guys with at least 24 HRs this year .... not in the starting lineup tonight

The abject loafing tonight finally has me pissed about MLB. And it would take a lot. Two guys loafing out of the box, both sure doubles, one a proper 3 bagger (granted, a two base error if he bothered to run.) What is a seat to this game, fifteen hundred bucks? They're loafing. Keep Machado, I don't want him in Philly. We have enough loafers as it is. I just took my kid to the Hall last weekend. The guys on those walls who left us are spinning in their graves. Fine example for the youth.

2-2. Game in 15th. Longest in Series history. After 2 in East. Headed to bed. Hope they're still playing when I wake up

Players who go in spikes up and smash hard into defenseless catchers will jump-start MLB when fb has been turned into so much fairy/pixie dust. Then will come the blaring noise (music)... the go-go girls... and lots more head-hunting pitchers!

MLB will become the darling sport again... for about 10 years. Then, responding to the souls who have been beaned, MLB will require batters to wear helmets that put darth vader to shame. And the new big sport in town will become... female flag football!

Sponsored by Hooters, loved by all (heh).

Baseball has nice attendance in certain cities. This obscene display of sloth tonight really chapped my ass but nothing will be said about it from either side. This is what the fans want...not legging out a misplayed ball into two or three bases...no people want to see HR hitters stand in the box and admire shots that don't leave the park and are held to a single.

The fans want 20 strikeouts and/or seven HR a game. It is what it is but the laziness and primadonna attitude tonight makes the game comi-tragic (or tragi-comic?) In either case this is what baseball wants so it must be working. I really had enough of the WS tonight. This was the laziest display of dogging it on both sides I think I've ever seen, certainly in a playoff or ws game.

But so what, I get it. Mash, forget about getting on base, just hit one 550'. That's all we want.

I'm not sure what the people want, but keep an eye on the young Braves team. They have one of the youngest rosters in baseball and play reckless and free on the base paths yet have an excellent defense.

I like the Braves' team. As in most years, there are three or four Braves I wish were Phillies.

Problem tonight is both teams in the WS are flat out dogging it. I hope MLB catches hell. Smoltz said this was a "great game" but he's completely fulla shit and a network stooge, so what do you expect. I get that. This game tonight is an embarrassment to baseball.

Again, we have Muncy this time stand there and watch. What if the ball was high off the wall in fair territory instead of foul? Another single, like we saw twice already tonight with another dog-ass teammate of his and a loafer member of the Sox loafing. The Loaf Series. Stand around and get your picture taken.

It's odd. if somebody was taking plays off in the NFL Buck would be all over it. Nothing said about guys standing around and not hustling in the WS. I guess baseball viewership must be so ungodly bad that they'll watch an arson and describe it as a warm day. Good luck to the diehards, I'm out. I'm predicting 22 inn.
