What does “yes” mean after the names?

So, assuming these are accurate/final (and not just placeholders), the only change I see from the pre-seeds is Nolf is now #1 by himself and Kemerer has dropped from T1 to 2.

So, does this reveal anything further about what the coaches think Nolf will/could do in the tourney (i.e., they don't see the injury being an impediment now)?

Valholl on HR posted the following:

“We did them tonight. Releasing them by 10 AM tomorrow.

It got pretty heated btw 2 coaches and there's lots of accusations about where the injured guys should be seeded based on how many matches they are actually going to wrestle.”

So...who were the coaches that got heated?

My guess Brands/Goodale

Yes, sounds like these are legit. I have to assume that Nolf will wrestle at least one or two full matches based on the fact they gave him the #1 seed. The injury status must of come up and was most likely the cause of the arguing.

I do think it's totally fair to question injured guys seeds.

If Terry was there... I think we know at least one of the coaches.

You have to imagine Nolf at the LEAST wrestles semi match against Jordan. If not, they should have put him 2 seed.

I’m hoping he wrestles 3 for the win!

I copied and pasted. It means they are a scoring wrestler.

This doesn't sound right either? All wrestlers are potential 'scorers', right?
The "YES" seems to end at the 2nd to last seeded guy at each weight.

While I'm confused, might as well ask: What is the "number" that some [not all] guys have between their name & record? Those with numbers all seem to have something between 9 and 20?

word on the street is RU didnt even leave town yesterday and are traveling today. With potential problems today too due to the weather.

Could they have done the meeting via skype/conference call?

or

Poster(s) could be all wet?

My question of the staff earlier today was a simple one...is the coaches meeting this morning? Answer was, "coaches meeting is today". Who said what to whom beyond that would be a total guess on my part.

Interesting. Was there a coaches phone call last night? Someone on HR stated a couple coaches went at it about some injured wrestlers/seeds

The "yes" falls in the "scoring" column on trackwrestling.

The numbers before the records fall in the "grade" column on trackwrestling. Obviously incorrect info in this column.

If the coaches meeting hadn't taken place last night, then the "final" seeds aren't final. If Nolf gets the #1 seed, I don't get it. It is good for tOSU, but otherwise I can't explain it. Seeds are to be first and foremost based on this year's B1G results. Kemerer is undefeated and Nolf has the one injury loss. Add to that no one knows for sure how much Nolf will be able to wrestle this weekend. I can't understand Nolf getting the top seed based on those 2 big factors.

Common sense?

I think it's reasonable the Nolf gets the 2 seed.

Kemerer is undefeated and has a better (or at least comparable) resume this year. I don't think Kemerer should be punished for Nolf missing PSU-Iowa, just like I don't think that I-Mar should be punished for Bull missing the Iowa-Illinois.

Also, assuming Micah Jordan is the 4 seed, I'd rather him get Kem (Micah can't beat, will be wrestling) than Nolf (Micah can't beat, might not wrestle).

It's all subjective. I think there are good arguments for Nolf getting the 1 seed too. I just don't think the 2 seed is unreasonable. And ultimately, I don't think it matters. Nolf will win every match he wrestles. We just don't know how many matches that will be.

I agree it’s 100% reasonable Kem get 1 seed. I was just giving my opinion on why it’s reasonable for Jason.

I would love to see Jason whip Jordan in semis but as long as Kem does if he the 1 I’ll be happy

Common sense?
Yes, I think everyone in the country knows that Nolf is the best wrestler at 157. But, based on seeding criteria, I don't see how they could give it to Nolf in this case. Just MO.

#1 likely gets Berger/Jordan winner in semis. 2 likely gets Pantaleo. If Jason goes in the 3rd round, I’m not sure it matters who he faces, so sees becomes unimportant.

I don't think it makes a lot of difference to Nolf if he's able to wrestle, as he can beat anyone. However, there's a good bit of speculation that he might not wrestle in the semis. If that were the case, then it could give M Jordan and easy draw to the finals if Nolf were to be the #1 seed. I know you're aware of that scenario.

I know that Kemerer is a bit dinged too, but it doesn't seem that his injury was a serious as Jason's.

Thanks for response, but:

What does "yes" in the 'scoring' column mean exactly? Or, maybe a better question is: What is a "non-scoring" wrestler at the B1G tourney? I'm not aware such a thing exists?

"Grade". That doesn't jibe either. For example: Zain has a "19" & Sorenson has a "12" [they're both RSSR] and Hayes has no number at all [like many others]. So I don't see this as like a high school tourney with 9, 10, 11, 12 indicating their grades.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter much [must be some code used by Track for something?], I was just curious.

So if the coaches didn't have a meeting, what is the source of these revised brackets that Track posted?

Revised brackets? I haven't seen any brackets yet to be revised. What am I missing? OK, checked trackwrestling and the brackets are starting to come out 1 weight at a time.
