You don’t want a game ending the way it did, but that was 100% a foul. The kid showed some real guts there at the line, nothing but net three straight times. Good game. Congratulations to both teams.UVA wins, 63-62.
wild ending
You’re the second person to say that. I didn’t catch that, myself. Was a foul but it was a double dribble violation
It was far from blatant with the naked eye. I didn't pick up on it until Steratore brought it up, as in real time, I thought the Auburn player got a hand in there. No call on a blatant double dribble by Virginia just ruined the tournament for me. Ref’s decide the game.
Last shot shouldn’t have been called since they missed the double dribble.
Awful!!!
Likewise. Unfortunate. It was far from blatant with the naked eye. I didn't pick up on it until Steratore brought it up, as in real time, I thought the Auburn player got a hand in there.
I like McQuaid’s shot, very much like mine back in the day.
Not much offense at the end of the half.
Well I'm not sure what to say about that first half.
I don't think it will be possible for me to sleep tonite ........with a Smile this BIG for Sparty. It's good to see michigan state lose. They shouldn't be playing basketball anyway, or anything else for that matter.
jim delany can eat shit.
UVA - Texas Tech. I don't imagine that many folks had those two teams in playing for the championship in their pools.
Hopefully it's an entertaining game Monday night.
Total at 117.5. Glad the refs stuck with the conspiracy plan to give the NCAA a game that should be a ratings bonanza (and will be pleasing on the eyes).First team to 10 wins!

Yeah. Most controversial calls are judgement calls but there’s absolutely no question about last night’s being a double dribble. Glad I’m not an Auburn fan; I wouldn’t be able to sleep for weeks. Too bad.Well, the referees are paid professionals and shouldn’t miss such an obvious call. After all, they call plenty of other fouls during the game most folks don’t see.
Virginia is one of the best offensive teams in the country. In what way does their offense not “match up” (especially in relation to Auburn)?Auburn would have given Tech a much better game than Virginia. I’m no expert but I don’t see Virginia beating Tech. Virginia just doesn’t match up well against that insane defense.
Not much of an inside game. You saw how well Tech bottled up Michigan State.Virginia is one of the best offensive teams in the country. In what way does their offense not “match up” (especially in relation to Auburn)?
Points/game is a meaningless stat. Their pace is the reason they don’t score a lot. They are 3rd in the country in adjusted offensive efficiency (which is the “truest” number to show how good an offense is).Not much of an inside game. You saw how well Tech bottled up Michigan State.
Not interested in getting in a back and forth about this but I just checked Virginia’s stats; they are 219th in points per game. Yes, they’re first in fewest points per game given up, but I’ve never seen them as being especially potent on offense.
It’s too easy to pick Kansas coming out on top of the Big 12.I wonder how many people would have predicted this match up at the beginning of the season.
