This was a big win for Pitt. Considering where they were in September, they deserve credit for turning their season around. They can certainly beat VT, and should beat Wake. Miami? Who can say?

If they get in the ACC championship game it will really show just how bad that division is and would look pretty bad for Clemson’s SOS (which already sucks).
Yes, Pitt controls its own destiny for earning a berth in an NY6 game. Hard to believe a month ago, that is what makes college football great. After losing the Lineal Championship (now held by Purdue!) and bottoming out against ND, they have gone on a tear. Shows how awful the ACC is. Clemson should be eliminated strictly on the basis of playing in that conference (tic folks, tic).

Give credit where credit is due. That was a big win for Pitt on the road and if I'm being honest I'm jealous that they can actually run the damn ball. Passing is a whole other story.

We could run the ball against Virginia...and pass it, and kick it, and play incredible defense. If we were in the ACC Coastal we could not only run the ball, but we’d be undefeated battling Clemson for the ACC title and a CFP bid. Worst division in the worst conference.
Actually Pitt had the home field advantage because of all the empty seats...they felt like they were at home.

Funny how they’re improving as their competition has gotten worse. They played the meat of their schedule early...which is the opposite of us. Funny how that works.

Well, if you are suggesting we played good against appy and pitt I have to challenge that. We haven't played a clean game this year. But Pitt is playing better and we are not. The first quarter against Iowa and fourth quarter against sparty were horrible.
Pitt played Notre Dame the Saturday after ND’s mid-term exam week. Now the ND haters can/will dismiss that but I can tell you that it’s an extremely stressful week for all students and the footballers don’t get much practice time that week.
That said, Virginia penalties kept Pitt in the game and they took advantage of that. All credit to them.
And Pitt likely would have played horrible for four quarters against Iowa and MSU. Competition matters. Pitt looked like shit most of the game last night....their offense was horrible most of the night. Their QB is terrible.

Pitt is playing better and has a decent record. They'll probably play in a bowl. PSU also has a good team and will play in a good to decent bowl. My only point is that Pitt is improving....and PSU has not improved. BTW, your view of Iowa and mine are different. They are a decent team, in the same mode as Duke and many teams on Pitt's schedule. They lost to Wiscy and us. They beat NIU, Iowa State, N. Iowa, Minny, Indy, and MD....hardly murderers row.
