Why did they spot the ball where they did on 3rd down? The AU WR went backward on his own, and was tackled by PSU. The refs gave him forward progress. smh

Correct, receiver ran backwards before any contact was made as replay clearly showed. Just a horrendous 2nd Down mark - literally gave him at least 2 yards, if not 3, on the mark! Should have been 3rd-&-3 or 4.
