Sigh. 3rd and short needs work.
3rd & short has to get better.
Only 2 yes to go. Why toss it backwards 3 yds?
Put in Cain or Lee. Run the ball! How about we try that on short yardage?
Don't like the call to play cute there. Should have spread em out and run at em. They do better on the tight formations, but have issue when we are wide.
For the most part IMO state has neutralized the A DL. But in short yardage that DL is earning their money
That should have been spread with 2 TEs in…waggle Clifford …run pass option to field side
Why are you running a short toss deep in your own backfield on 3rd and short when you know your opponent is going to run blitz?
I know football coaches are geniuses and all BUT that doesn't seem to make sense, does it???
If PSU loses, then circle that 3rd and 1 fail. They didn’t need to get cute there.
You’re not wrong. The way I look at it, whether you kick the extra point or fail the two-point conversion, the worst-case scenario is that the game is tied if they score ( either by kicking a PAT or going for two). With a successful two-point concession, the worst-case scenario is being up by one if they score.
Like I said, just my opinion. Probably why I’m not on a sideline!
The biggest weakness in this team is the offensive line’s inability to open holes especially on 3rd and short.

Really wish Lee didn't fumble earlier. He's been absent since. Outside zone with any of our RBs would have been fine there.
