Ohio St dual - Predictions.

I think he wrestled most of the year at 157 and then went down to 149 when they realized they might need him if Hunter couldn't go

Suriano major- 4-0
Nato pin- 4-6
Gulibon decision 7-6
Zain major- 11-6 (pin or tech would not surprise me)
Nolf pin- 17-6 (Ryan holding his son out is beyond pathetic)
Cenzo decision- 20-6
BoJo decision- 20-9
Bo decision- 23-9
Moore decision- 23-12 (maybe a major?)
Snyder major- 23-16 PSU wins!

Nolf pin- 17-6 (Ryan holding his son out is beyond pathetic)
For what it's worth, on his podcast Tommy Rowlands mentioned, before this decision was made, that Ryan was on the verge of losing the spot. Which makes sense if you've seen him wrestle this year.

Ryan is having a really bad year, and if he lost his spot then that is fine. I guess we will wait and see if this is just temporary though.

Suriano MD Rodriguez. Not super confident that he'll get it, but Rodriguez seems to have hit a wall, and Nick seemingly never gets tired. 4-0 PSU

NaTo WBF PSU 133. Carpenter or Law just outmatched in this one. 6-4 OSU

Gulibon Dec Pletcher. One of the big swing matches. Hoping we cintone to see the aggressive, confident JG that we've seen the last 7 periods. That guy could possibly major Pletch (who is having a very solid freshman campaign). 7-6 PSU

Zain Dec MiJo. Jordan has demonstrated some weakness on bottom. Zain has demonstrated that he's pretty good (huge understatement) on top. I'm pretty high on MiJo, but that is a bad matchup for him....if Zain can turn him, look for bonus points. 10-6 PSU

Nolf WBF DiCarlo. I wonder if the proper strategy is to not try and take Nolf down, as that seems to irritate him immensely. See the NW match last week. 16-6 PSU

Joseph Dec Burcher. Certainly potential here for bonus, but I'm going with the safe pick. 19-6 PSU

Hall Dec BoJo. Definitely going out on a limb here, but I think Mr Hall can get it done. A loss wouldn't surprise me, as a healthy BoJo is a great wrestler. 22-6 PSU

Bo Dec MM. I actually think we may see a somewhat conservative Nickal in this one. Just a guy who is completely focused on wrestling a mistake free, dominant match. 25-6 PSU

Moore Dec Cutch. Moore has looked super impressive thus far, he's pretty relentless. If Cutch can control the ties and slow it down, he'll be right in it. If Moore gets to his offense, I could see a major for the tan ones. 25-9 PSU

Snyder MD NN. I don't think the outcome of this match is in question, but I am very interested to see how competitive NN is. I think he'll be extremely well prepared, but Snyder is absolutely world class. 25-13 PSU

To be honest, it's not going to be as close as many of you are predicting. I don't pick blowouts for my team either...we all like to hedge somewhat so opposing fans don't come back at us but I just can't see it being close. Now at the tourney, anything can happen.

Ill help you out then.....Iowa will FULL COURT PRESS the goofers!!!!!!!!!!

That felt good, I see why he does it.

A NaTo pin is certainly possible, but it would be his first ever at 133. It would be only his fourth in three years against D1 competition.

They know they need six from him, and my guess is he'll be working hard to get six, but five seems more likely.

Suriano 4-0
Nato 4-5
Gulibon 7-5
Retherford 11-5
Nolf 17-5
Cenzo 20-5
BoJo 20-8
Nickal 24-8
Moore 24-11
Snyder 24-15

Gave them 2 of the 3 tossups being at home, and it's still not that close.

I agree that I don't see it being close. However, duals have a way of surprising you. Anything can and sometimes does happen, especially on the road. That said, I expect us to win handily.

Suriano Major or TF
Tomasello TF
Gulibon Dec (tossup match)
Zpain Major at least
Nolf TF at least
Joseph Dec at least, probably major
Hall or Jordan really a tossup
Nickal Dec at least
Moore Dec (another tossup match)
Snyder Dec I really do not see bonus points here

Even if tOSU wins all the tossups I still have it 18-17 PSU..
