Ohio State vs NC State

I agree. To be honest, I may pick Oklahoma State as runner ups this year.
Picc.>> OSU
Fix > Pletcher
McKenna >> Okie St if no Brock
Jordan > Okie St
Hayes > Okie St (this is really >>, but no guarenteed Hayes earns a ton more than OKie St's probable 0)
Rogers > Romero
JoJo > Campbell
Martin > Smith
Moore >> Geer (if Weigle was healthy this would be interesting).
White >> Singletary
Fairly even.
Ohio State probably finishes 6 -12 points ahead of the Cowboys.

Forgive the others. Sometimes we forget your definition of entertainment can depend on your perspective. I completely understand why you are questioning that post given the fact that you are a Hawkeye fan.
I know. All those bonus points we scored at nationals last year was really boring. This year so far. Obviously not as prolific as PSU but not the “collar tie, push, pull, try to get a stall” style this board would have everyone believe.

Lee 8/10 bonus
Desanto 8/11 bonus
Murin 6/11 bonus
Lugo 6/12 bonus
Young 7/12 bonus
Marinelli 8/11 bonus
Bowman 2/6 bonus
Wilcke 4/12 bonus
Warner 4/8 bonus
Costello 2/12 bonus

Total 55/105

Schnupp 2/11 bonus
RBY 7/13
Lee 14/15
Berge 6/13
Nolf 13/13
Joseph 11/13
Hall 7/13
Rasheed 11/12
Nickal 12/12
Cassar 10/12

93/127

Do you want to throw a SOS into the mix?

PS- are you cherry picking results? use the wrestlers with the most starts at the weight.

If you're using Schnupp, then use Costello.

Not making a whole lot out of this but call me not impressed. I just believe tOSU is a paper tiger. They'll fight harder against us I'm sure, but they seem very slow and very average today.
Those slow and average guys would probably be favored to win 4 or 5 bouts in a dual with PSU.

True. Just got home from watching that E-A-G-L-E-S find some foles magic!!! again!!!

So watching the match on DVR.

And.

So far what I have I seen its not crazy to think tO$U only wins 149 and 184 against PSU. Not probable, not realistic, but its not crazy.

Fans can dissect how many favorites tOSU may or may not have vs PSU.

But don’t forget that PSU is almost a lock for bonus at:
157
165
174
285

And Ol’ Noodle Arms likes to put kids on their backs in huge road duals ....

At this point have to give the edge to OSU at 133 and 141. 125 just depends who goes

is stoll the current starter?

By the way, you did fantastic work above.
Thanks! Since he did wrestle at Midlands I listed him as starter. I will substitute Costello and update.

Lowered Iowa bonus from 56.25% to 52.38%, Raised opponent win percentage from 63.85% to 64.35%

So, 53% versus 73%. That's pretty significant.

I agree. PSU is a bonus machine. I was just showing that Iowa has bonused over half their matches so far this year, trying to use facts to show opinions aren’t always accurate. Enough posters claim only Spencer is our true bonus point wrestler and this proves that is false. In fact only 3 starters are under 50%. Bowman, Wilcke, and Costello. Two of those guys are back ups and Wilcke is who he is, the most frustrating guy on the team

Worst case:

L - 125: tOSU vs Schnupp - Dec, 0-3
L - 133: Pletcher vs RBY - Dec, 0-6
L - 141: McKenna vs NLee - Dec, 0-9
L - 149: MJordan vs Berge - Dec, 0-12
W - 157: Nolf vs Hayes - MD, 4-12
W - 165: Joseph vs Romero - MD, 8-12
W - 174: MHall vs Campbell / ESmith - Dec, 11-12
L - 184: MMartin vs Rasheed, Dec 11-15
W - 197: BNickal vs KMoore, Dec 14-15
W - 285: Cassar vs Singletary, MD 18-15
18-15, PSU

---------------------------------------------

Probable:

W - 125: Teasdale / Schnupp vs tOSU - Dec, 3-0
W - 133: RBY vs Pletcher - Dec, 6-0
L - 141: McKenna vs NLee - Dec, 6-3
L - 149: MJordan vs Berge - Dec, 6-6
W - 157: Nolf vs Hayes - TF, 11-6
W - 165: Joseph vs Romero - MD, 15-6
W - 174: MHall vs Campbell / ESmith - MD, 19-6
L - 184: MMartin vs Rasheed, Dec 19-9
W - 197: BNickal vs KMoore, Dec 22-9
W - 285: Cassar vs Singletary, MD 26-9
26-9, PSU

---------------------------------

Best case?
Potential for any combination of:
Teasdale MD
NLee upset
Berge upset
Nolf WBF
Joseph WBF
MHall TF/WBF
Shak cradle ???
Noodle Arms WBF

.... 36-6 PSU ??

Does Gibbons even know which leg Wilson injured?
The middle leg?

Gibbons spent the better part of one match wondering when the ref was going to award 2 points for Danger Position to the guy on bottom trying to get a reversal in a scramble.

If Moore wrestles that sloppily, Nickal will plant him quickly. Could be a Brooks rerun.

I’m awaiting the RBY-Pletcher match myself. Lots of good matchups
Yeah, why I said they looked slow today. I'm sure they'll be up for us but only a couple of their wrestlers looked very good today. Plus, I'm spoiled by our team. It's almost as if we have 4 Barkley's on this team and the rest are Sanders. Lol We may not ever see all this quality again at one time.

Exactly - they beat the #4 pretty handily, but it’s like comparing Bama to LSU this year in football. We have so much firepower this year.

Probability Equation:

[ Before 157, tOSU will probably be leading or tied w/ PSU ]

+

[ Hayes was hit with 3 stall calls today vs Hidlay ]

=

 .....

again nice work.

Will be interesting to look back after nationals at how that a) carried over the season and b) went after midlands. Just to see what it looks like when we hit the grind and better parts of our schedules.
