I've said it before, I'll say it again: this Iowan says, GO COWPOKES!
Just like Friday's dual against UM be prepared to use BTN2GO for the beginning of the dual as there is a PSU Women's bball game on at 2PM which will almost certainly end later than 4 PM.
Also, this should be a great dual. I'm going with the Pokes to win a close one.
Truer words have never been spoken. I've never been a believer in a home field advantage, other than two major exceptions: wrestling against Iowa in Carver Sqwawkeye, and playing Green Bay at home in January.
Yes, in regard to their manufactured home field advantage, the crowd truly does work and bully the refs into calls that go in their favor. The screaming, booing, and incessant shouting for "stalling" just seems to beat the refs into submission into making these often unnecessary calls. Hence, why they're referred to as "Sqwawkeyes/Sqwawkers." Intolerable to sit in that god awful arena and listen to it for two hours!
When your team has had its ass kicked over and over for years by the Hawkeyes in Carver Arena i could see why you don't enjoy the experience so much. I guess you will have to stick to watching wrestling in the high school west gym UNI calls home.
No problems doing just that; much more amicable environment in the West Gym and where I'd rather be anyway!
Funny how that "ass kicking" doesn't happen any longer, given the fact that the Brands' don't seem to want to take part in that ANNUAL dual any longer, eh? I wonder why, other than the Sqwawkers have opted to rassle the mighty community college and DIII ranks instead?
You go ahead and stay in that JV auditorium with your prefered amicable environment. Or the UNI Dump Dome for that matter. I will continue to live it up In Iowa City with my ice cream cones, where im happy. Cheers!
What is the Okie State vs Hawkeye record at CHA? The overall record in Iowa City is a not-very-decisive 12-11 in Iowa's favor.

Actually, Penrith went all black for several years, and when Schwab came in he put the purple back on their backs and we've loved it ever since. Kind of like the mighty Cornell College, who the Sqwawks opt to rassle every year instead of us, thus ensuring a 60-0 victory for their first "dual" of the year.

Lee seems to be out of gas. Being ridden by Picc, but finally gets escape w/ under a minute left. Then Picc w/ quick TD. 10-5.

We're 0-14 since CHA opened, and the last time UNI beat Iowa at all was in 1974. UNI was a DII team then too.
I like and root for UNI btw Ban. No hard feelings in that regard. I worked in Cedar Falls for a year installing commercial HVAC systems. I enjoyed my time there. Waterloo not so much..
