Let's get this party started folks.

Gotta pull for a decisive OSU victory as disgusting as that is.

Can't allow ND to weasel another game out as they shouldn't be there any way. Also they are too arrogant to join a conference so them winning the natty would be horrible.

A decisive OSU win where they clearly demonstrate they are on another level than an ND or a PSU for that matter will take a little sting off our loss to ND.

I figure that Ohio state has a 70% chance of winning and Notre Dame a 30% chance. Ohio state is a better team but if there are turnovers or mistakes Notre Dame is good enough to take advantage of them. Also, I feel there is about a 30% chance that Ohio State curb stomps Notre dame.

I think OSU has a greater percentage than you do. I mean, ND is a banged up team, and if OSU had played them when PSU did and ND had played similarly as they did against PSU, OSU would've won that game by 20 to 24 points.

I think you're trying not to be an ass here. ND winning would be shocking.

This could easily be a 41-6 type game. Or Ohio State starts slow and wins 24-13 or something. I just don't see how ND has a chance unless Howard plays like he did against Michigan

OSU already has one shocking loss this year. Unfortunately it is not guaranteed that they wouldn't have two shocking losses. Ohio state's talent is stronger than Notre Dame's but it is not like Notre Dame is totally outclassed. As much as I hate to say it, Notre Dame could win the game.

That is the key. He has a bad game. ND gets a turnover or two and then who knows.

So did ND--have one shocking loss
Yes, ND is totally outclassed and can only win if Ohio State flops

Yeah pretty much. OSU has much more room for error than PSU did, and PSU arguably should have won by 10-14 points. Meaning that OSU flopping in this game probably still means a 3-7 point win for OSU. But I think it's most likely that OSU thumps them in the first half then plays safe in the 2nd for a 10-14 point win.

I'm in a minority (of one?) rooting for the Irish...because I don't like Ohio State...I don't like the Big-10 (or 14 or 16 or whatever it is now)...I don't like the Big-10's refs...and I don't like the Big-10's media cheerleaders.

That said, I see very little chance that Notre Dame can beat Ohio State tonight. In fact, I see little chance that Notre Dame can even keep the game close.

Granted, anything's possible. But Notre Dame will need a miracle to spring an upset that would go down in the annals of college football history. Not gonna happen.

Still, even before kick, Notre Dame has achieved the impossible: getting much of the country and some major media to actually pull for the Irish. I mean, everyone likes an underdog. And Marcus Freeman is a pretty cool story.

No match…. No team that lost to NIll at home wins a title. They used up all of their good luck just getting there. O$U is the much better team and wins going away… 45-10. ND OL is beaten up as is their DL. Leonard ain’t running against that defense.

You would think they used up the last of their luck in having the Lions db trip over his own feet then have the deep safety decide to cover no one, then whispered into Allar's ear to throw it away... to the Irish db.

Just can't go there. ND historically gets every break and is the most overhyped team in history. It is no surprise that they are the ones that can get away with not joining a conference and hog all the money for themselves.

Beyond that we want OSU to win because it makes the B10 look better. Yeah I get it, I never cheer for them except on very rare occasions like this. They should handle business and I hope the game is decided by halftime.

I think PSU win's either way. I think we were the better team vs ND and they know they are fortunate to be there. tOSU winning would make the B1G's second consecutive Natty. That bodes well for 3 or 4 teams being in the playoff against next year. Also, if tOSU wins, they would win having had two regular season losses which vindicates the 12 (+) team playoff. They wouldn't have been in a 4 or 8 team playoff.

Lastly, PSU can go into the off season knowing that a tough loss can sometimes be a win. Both ND and tOSU lost games that they should have won. They used those losses as motivation to work harder, quit thinking too much, execute, and be better.

PSU has a shot next year.

Every preseason poll that I’ve seen so far has PSU in the top 5. Sometimes, that’s an albatross like in 1999. However, people expect PSU to have a shot next season, and based on who’s returning it should.

Ummmmm....., NO! Even if ND weren't my 2nd favorite team, no way I'd ever root for a dirtbag shithole "traditional b2g" team like duhO$U.... after the shit this bushleague conference has put PSU through, I can't believe any self-respecting PSU fan would root for the shitbag douches from duhO$U.

duhO$U is so awesome.... LMAO. ND's high school offense made them look pedestrian (PSU looked way better... can we hear from all the b2g posing-troll douches about how awful duhO$U looks - you know like they do in PSU Game-Threads on this site???

Lets see if ND's corners can cover tOSU's WRs like they did ours. That it the most important and interesting aspect of this game that I want to see.

They just ran the ball right down Ohio State's throat in a drive that consumed much of the 1st quarter.

The money play was the QB keeper.

30-minute first quarter ends with Buckeyes driving but down 7-0.

Notre Dame has an excellent D but Ohio State is moving the ball against them.

Impressive drive by ND but Leonard was getting beat up. OSU is also much more explosive. It’s really hard to consistently maintain drives 3-4 yards at a time.
