OT: Former PSU BB player Joonas Suotamo is new Chewbacca!

Someone has *got* to do a short video where Chewy's growl is replaced by the Lion's roar.....
Very cool, I just hope that he's a better actor than he was a basketball player.

lol yeah comic books for dummies. . . finishing up Garth Eniss' "The Boys", then need to work through "Southern B@stards", the Ed Brubaker/Sean Phillips series "Criminal", and some Mockingbird and Black Panther collections
serious, though. the book is like #2 on my list after that. nice book on the Attica prison riots is first

A native of Espoo, Finland, his full name is Joonas Viljami Suotamo...Has two brothers...Was born on Oct. 3, 1986...Interested in pursuing a career in movies or television...Has earned a 3.43 cumulative grade-point average through the spring semester of 2007.
He was a film major at PSU and you have to give him huge props for successfully pursuing a lifelong ambition
He was Chewie for the majority of TFA. If Chewie was standing or moving, it was Suotamo. Peter Mayhew did the closeups, which will probably be the same situation in Mayhew's last appearance as Chewie in The Last Jedi. It just made sense to have Joonas be the official Chewie in the Han Solo movie with a young Han and Lando. Hopefully, they don't kill Chewbacca off in The Last Jedi so Suotamo can also play Chewie in the last movie of this trilogy.
