Stopped by a few today after visiting amish country .
Prices seemed to be a bit high compared to some other outlets . No bargain .
Anyone else take notice ?

Some mall stores with same merchandise cheaper.

Rockvale has been going downhill for years. Lots of empty storefronts and you are correct, most of the stores suck.

Tanger, located just down the road, has a few true outlet stores.

Overall, I think Tannersville is much better.

I live pretty close to Amish country and the outlets suck but not nearly as bad as the Amish stores. I live close via Rte 340 and I absolutely hate having to drive anywhere around it, let alone stop and look around

Went to the ones in Lancaster while officiating volleyball in the spring down there. Not sure what "outlet" means anymore. It seemed like regular strip mall type stuff and the same prices. It certainly was cheaper to buy the same stuff online. I didn't see the appeal at all.

Long gone are the days of the original Reading outlets, where you were buying the seconds or irregulars that were made in the factories right there on site.

I'm not sure what the definition of outlet store is anymore. They seem to cater more to tourist traffic than locals.
